Dead Celebrities: 2017 Edition
-
Absolutely NO ONE so far. We're off to a great start.
-
The Queen hasn't been seen for 11 or 12 days, apparently down with some kind of bug.
2017 might start its list off with a bang.
-
-
2017 killed 2016 -- May the murdering spree finally end.
-
-
Ignore me!
ETA: Correcting wrong date
-
I thought he was a few days ago? I remember this on the other thread.
-
Oh maybe? The article I read said it was today but they may have the date wrong?
-
@TNP The thing I love about Betty White is that she was around before sliced bread was mass-produced. So if anyone asks what the best thing was before sliced bread, it's Betty White.
@GangOfDolls Yeah, he was the last one grabbed by 2016. (At least, I saw the stories before it hit midnight here, and I'm EST +1)

Ok 2017. Don't get any funny ideas about QEII

I already called this one, man! You can't uncall my call! Uncool!
-
Fixed!
-
@Kanye-Qwest Do ships count though? I mean, I'd be sad to see the first cruise ship I ever set foot on be scrapped - even if she's laid up at present.
-
@Tinuviel I'd say it could count, in a sense. It's still a cultural icon, even if not a person, and there's a genuine loss whenever we lose one of those.
-
@surreality Mmm, I suppose so. Does it count as a "celebrity" though?
-
@Tinuviel Eh, I'd count it under a well-known cultural icon, really. It isn't a person, but it is a celebrated part of culture.
-
You guys are so morbid.
-
John Berger, English author, critic, and painter, died yesterday. Maybe not the kind of celebrity we're used to, but.
-
'Ways of Seeing' is an incredibly important work, especially when it comes to studying subcultures. We'd never have gotten Hebdidge without him.
