Star Trek: Typhon Accords MUSH
-
In the early days of the year 2381 the galaxy as we know it was faced by a calamity of proportions unseen in our recorded history. The Borg Collective invaded the Alpha and Beta Quadrants en masse with a goal of exterminating, not assimilating, the United Federation of Planets and her allies. In the face of this disaster the Federation's President Nanietta Bacco held negotiations with many of the galaxy's powers to form a larger and stronger alliance to face the Borg. The Borg Collective is no more and President Bacco is dead, but her dream continues to live on.
In the aftermath of the Borg Invasion representatives from several powers met in the Typhon Expanse to form a new alliance taking inspiration from President Bacco's efforts. None of the powers involved want to join the Khitomer Accords as each one held either the Federation or Klingons in contempt, in fact these powers had hitherto been isolationist and xenophobic powers. In spite of these isolationist and xenophobic tendencies the Typhon Pact was formed by the Breen Confederacy, Gorn Hegemony, Holy Order of the Kinshaya, Romulan Star Empire, Tholian Assembly, and Tzenkethi Coalition which included free exchange of cloaking technology within the pact and a new joint currency.
When the Federation became aware of sabotage to their efforts to rebuild their decimated Starfleet, which had suffered 40 percent losses in the two months of the Borg Invasion, and learned of the existence of the Typhon Pact they did the only sensible thing. The Klingon Empire and United Federation of Planets expanded the Khitomer Accords which now include the Cardassian Union and Ferengi Alliance.
It is 2386 now, five years after the Borg Invasion, and a great uneasiness forms a pall over the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. The powers of the Khitomer Accords and Typhon Pact are still rebuilding what was lost to the Borg. As each power tries to get back to normal operation they face the reality of a Cold War and the fear it may prove the beginning of yet another conflict.
The stage has been set but the script is not yet written. Join the cast of Star Trek: Typhon Accords MUSH as we navigate this new galactic reality. Thus far we have two player run Starfleet vessels that need more crew and we are also looking for players for the Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire to start with. You are cordially invited to check us out at startrekkin.net port 1701.

I recently have started playing (within the past 2 months), and it's a pretty fun game and growing in activity.
You can find me on as Gherat (the Cardassian doctor).

Hm.

Well!
I checked things out. The players all seem super nice. I haven't made a chargen yet, but it seems like it might be fun.

Is it using a known game system?

Good Question.
