Changeling The Lost 2nd Edition Kickstarter
-
For those interested it is live.
-
I see that $800 bought out for the opportunity to be listed as a 'Consulting Developer' and all I can think is:
'Which MU*er am I going to see bragging about that credit next year?'
-
I've already written 3/4 of a C:tL 2E update.

But you're not a major company in desperate need of money!...wait.
-
@auspice Development plus some printing costs $50k? That seems... lower than I expected.
Then again I've no idea what the profit margins for White Wolf are these days.

What the fuck? I thought this was like...supposed to be coming out relatively soon? (Or already be out?) Have they not even started it? o____O

There's smaller companies that manage to publish games without hitting up Kicktarter. I just don't know how comfortable I am with more and more large, established companies using it. I feel like it risks drowning out the actual startups and indie artists.

@auspice
Wow, that's cheap. BSN did $400 to make your PC a 'canon NPC' in MET Changeling when they were doing 'pre-Kickstarter' stuff. -
I feel like their pricing is too high. Perhaps it is that the PDF is $25, which may be to cover that it will be shared out a great deal.
-
@arkandel
OPP will still push the book out, the Kickstarter itself is for deluxe editions and any stetch/additional stuff. 50k is for things like deluxe art, hardcover, gloss paper and junk. -
I’ll be getting Kickstarter exclusive updates on the documentation?
-
I'm sure it'll be like the Beckett's Jyhad Diary updates. It wasn't previews really, it was status updates on movement through the dev process, and advertisements to go buy other OPP products.

Dear Dev Diary,
Today I convinced the editors that a non-transitive asymmetrical ratings structure of custom tier counts per Kith, Keeper, Court and Page number would best represent the Lost.
