GRAH! I'm angry, I thought the house was paid off and done, and after years of sending just under half our monthly income to pay the Land Contract were over. I was looking forwards to groceries, the occasional McDonalds run, a little spending money even.
Nope. The person holding the contract now insists that we owe her for June. Also, she says that the Land Contract deal over-rides us starting as tenants, so we don't get our security deposit (1 month's payment) back either,
This sucks.
Lawyering up at the free legal clinic, Filing a claim's going to cost about $180.00.
If this costs me the cats I was adopting because we can no longer pay the adoption fee, I am going to be beyond angry.

I'm in Indianapolis, Corruption. You can also go to McKinney Law School. You will usually find people -more than happy- to talk to you about all sorts of legal issues. Talk to some of the contract law professors there. They might not act as your attorney, but they can at least point you in the direction you need to look for legal resources. Most of them are more than happy to talk to the pubic.

Fucking giant universities.
I've been taking classes at NYU to get a professional certificate in my field. The classes were great, I did great in them, all A's, great time.
Soon after finishing my last class, it disappears from my records in their online systems. (All your classes are always there when you check your grades, just some are blank until your grades are posted.) I email the school to be like, uhhh this class disappeared from my online records in the system. ???
They email back to be like, oh here's a PDF with instructions to check your grades!!!

Sudden summer colds that hit you like a mack truck (and a FUBAR immune system doesn't help). I have tried to sleep on and off all night and can't manage more than about 45 minutes at most at one time.
Which was sad, 'cause I finally got approved for RfK and was having fun.

When there are four open self-checkouts and someone gets in line behind you instead and hovers anxiously while you scan and bag three bags worth of groceries. Why would you not go to one of the free checkouts?

Strange as it seems.. some people just can't get the hang of self-checkout. A lifetime of having someone else do it makes them complacent and resistant to learning, no matter how easy it is.

The only time I hate them is when I want to buy booze, which defeats the 'self' part of a self checkout.

I never use self checkout.
Unless I get it cheaper for not making you pay someone to do the work, I will make you pay someone to do the work. -
Self checkout is almost always shorter.
