            I was Raimond the 1st.

@ganymede You were really appreciated. People thought I represented the character well from prior play. I loved the character it was a shame the game was not very active.

                    @icanbeyourmuse

He has to be one of my favorite characters I have played. I had a two year run (maybe more or less since near the beginning of Arx) on the character being a foil. It was an epic run with pretty impacting moments in the story.

I am a bit relieved to be done with him in some sense. There is a large gap in immaturity where players associate characters with their players. I had seen a lot of it and understand this is a natural tendency for any medium like this. I took Tovell (the pious and dutiful knight) off the roster to sort of just compare experiences. I kept my use of him pretty much unknown and the difference in how I was treated as a player was amazing. Some of the same people that were crap OOCly to me with one alt were friendly, welcoming, and utterly different on the unstated alt. I enjoyed the OOC experience of playing a good-guy far far more.

ICly though playing Abbas was much more enjoyable. πŸ˜›

@buttercup I tried being friendly with you OOC! We didn't get to RP much but I always thought Abbas was great.

@buttercup Oh hi, I think I met you perhaps on KD, former Chrysantheme no Alyssum here, and I also played Artemisia no Jasmine.

I had a brief scene with Creature on Fate's Harvest. He seemed pretty interesting from the bit of RP that was had.

@catsnake I had idled on that game in public for two weeks. I had all of one scene total so you must have been the one! πŸ˜› I vaguely recall him eating out of a gross bucket of chum from a fish stall and someone walking up to him.

He was basically just the creature from the black lagoon. I had never tried Changeling before and the game was entirely new to me. I gave up thought as I just couldn't find any RP and I'm generally too shy to start page-begging! πŸ˜›

I played Sam Mitchell (Inactive). It was tough to get RP back when I played him/her/it. But now I'm back on Fate's Harvest, and I'm going to try to give it another go.

                              It's going well so far.

Fate's Harvest is kinda not easy to find RP still. I have tried parking myself in public for a couple of days with no bites, and even asking on channel doesn't generally yield many responses. I have taken to poking some folks randomly and made some small progress that way, but it sure is a steep slope.

The hypocrisy of some players is staggering at some times when it comes bullshit like this.

It took me a long time to get going on Fate's Harvest. I had a char there for 3-4 months before I felt established. Now that I have my group, and am involved in things, it's really my favorite game at the moment, but I can fully believe that people are struggling on it, because I did for a long time.

I just don't think it's a Fate's Harvest specific problem. Part of the problem on Fate's Harvest and on most MU's is that when I look at +where and I see all these people in places, I don't know who they are, what that thing is where they are, if that place is public and accessible to me, and, if they are someplace public, why I would interact with them. I've said it before and I'll say it again. MU's need a better way than using a grid or +wantrp to hook up people who are looking for RP.

That being said, I do think the game would probably benefit from restricting alts and forcing people to focus on one or two chars, but that's entirely an opinion and I don't make policy for the game, nor will probably ever be in a position to do so.

In fairness to that, there's a marked difference between outright hostility ooc and just people being guarded, though. If someone is an antagonist, a lot of people just aren't comfortable being extremely communicative ooc because they feel they could be considered disingenuous if they then need to work contrary to you, or want to avoid ooc pressure over IC decisions. Anyone can be really friendly and chill when they know there is absolutely nothing at stake for doing so, and I tend to pay closer attention to the people that are that way when they know their own characters are at risk.

some fucking idiot who people only like because he's good at taking credit for the work of everyone under him, just like every other fucking L&L headwiz.

I keep trying to throw my characters under the bus but I either miss the GM stuff or people just accept their bad behaviors. Maybe I need to be mean OOC to make things happen. Mind, I'm also a 'if you want to RP! I won't make you!' person.

That is pretty fair to say. A couple of the people to their credit when they learned I was also Tovell actually were like wow and were awesome OOC from that point forward. There is a spectrum of behavior I'm sure. Being the antagonist you are a little exposed to being hypersensitive about things I suppose, too.
