People want to socialize but not necessarily RP.

It is uncommon that I connect without being ready to or wanting to RP.

And I'm one of those folks that, given a few minutes and a wiki page, I can figure out reasons to RP with people.

Just saying. (You don't RP with me anymore!)

Shit, I'll RP with almost anybody who hasn't given me just cause not to. Just ask.

So what reason have I given you? 😉

@Auspice None that I know of. If you've asked for RP in one of my various guises and I haven't responded, I do apologize.

One part of the issue I've had lately is people "want" to RP, but they don't want to be responsible for any part of the generation process.

They don't want to come up with where, what, or the set.

They'll ask me if I want to RP.
              "Okay."
"Where to?" or "What should we RP?"
...like you asked me. Why do I need to come up with it all now?

When I approach someone to RP, I generally try to have something in mind to RP. A goal in mind.

This is why most of us hate BaRP. It's meandering, pointless.

It's why I personally generally don't reply to the call for 'anyone wanna RP?' in OOC Lounges because 9 times out of 10 when I do, it's followed by them wanting me to come up with the where and what.

Like hey, if I have a where/what in mind, I'll put up a call for RP. If I'm responding, the onus should be on you to have those things in mind, damnit! Hell, if you have a where/what, I'll generally even set!

              I call shenanigans!

The correct response to "Anyone wanna RP?" is "What did you have in mind?" If they say, "Oh, I don't know, whatever," or something to that effect, or even worse, "I was hoping you'd have something!" then your answer should be "Then no, I don't want to RP [with you]."

I was referring to the 'What did you have in mind?' part since I didn't write that into my post. I actually do say that often when I'm in the mood for RP. I'm just giving you shit.

And on Mutant Genesis, I just picked up Scarlet Witch, so once I'm done CG'ing her (anew!), I'll be looking for peeps to RP with (since the Brotherhood is being disbanded for now, I'm gonna be sending her to the Institute; should be fun times!). So Marvel peeps, if you want some Witchy RP, feel free to page me (If you don't see me on Wanda, I might be logged in to hang out on Zatanna).

I'm pretty open and amenable to it. I'd like to sink my teeth into a long-term storyarc, so far I have Phoenix's main X-Plot but until the next RP for that rolls around, I got nothin' else goin'.
