Action Movie MUSH

What about a MUSH designed to be a Bruckheimer action movie, with a democratic process about the setting, conflict, and sequels, where the characters carried over between 'movies'?
I've been in love with this experimental concept for some time. You'd have different categories for suggestions - setting, conflict, factions - and once you tallied up all the suggestions, people would then vote on them, while the plot-staff was running the plots.
As the 'movie' ended, the build and theme staff would be putting together the next sequel, for all the characters to carry over to, and then the process would begin anew.

Seriously though, I've had similar thoughts. Maybe not structured quite the same way but an "action movie" style world with exceptional people doing exceptional things. Or even Spy MUX possibly using the upcoming GI Joe knock off RPG coming out using Savage Worlds rules. I've also been long tempted by a Kaiju World MU filled with giant monsters.

I would so love a Kaiju game, one thought I had for one would each player have both a human scale character and a Kaiju scaled one, you could would be able to get to play on both sides of the giant monster smashing stuff equation.

Yeah, I like that. Giant monsters smashing stuff, fighting humans and the armies of the world, each other and then...giant robots/mecha. Depending on how "Godzilla" you wanted to go aliens could also be incorporated.

@zombiegenesis
In my head aliens are definitely incorporated but I would go full on Godzilla with it. -
I'm running a Spy MUSH right now, Zombie.

So, Ultraman?

Could just make an action game based on Pacific Rim by way of Colossal.

@coin Something Pacific Rim-like was what leapt to mind when I first saw the thread title. You have good options for various power levels and team sizes, a fair amount of campy fun, a dose of mad science, and plenty of opportunity for classic action and rescue heroics, and a variety of interesting roles available other than 'ace pilot' (and even then the focus on teamwork is a plus here).
It's sci-fi, but the world itself is not so far advanced (it is the true universe of handwavium, like whoa) as a part of average daily life that everyone needs a crash course in quantum physics just to make their morning coffee.

Yeah, but if you go the Colossal route you can be a big monster and a person. >.>
