Mu* Clients for new iPad Pro?
-
Yeah that's right.
I'm considering getting an iPad pro for writing/expensive note taking, and because I love to procrastinate I wanted to see if I can run a Mu* client on it as well.
Has anyone had any success with finding something that works?
@Sparks, will Atlantis run on the new iPad? (Please say yes...)
Should I just stick to my laptop like a sensible person, and not live the fantasy of having to only carry around 1lbs worth of tech to do all my banal cyberpunk future tasks like play games and get depressed reading the news?
-
atlantis is not an app, sadly I have an ipad pro i've been wondering about a client for. I think people have mentioned mudrammer
-
Atlantis does not run on iOS, no. (Assuming I ever finish the complete 2.0 rewrite, that is written to run on both macOS and iOS.)
-
@sparks I mean yay but MAGIC and EXPLORING

I've got mudrammer on my phone; it's so very clunky and doesn't support spawns AFAIK. It's terribly inelegant, really.

I truly, truly hope Atlantis 2.0 does manifest one day, as the first iteration is an absolute pleasure to use and I want to keep at it in the future, on all this fancy tech that is temping me to spend my savings.

Mudrammer isn't a zillion bells and whistles, but I've been able to use it without much fuss; it definitely gets the basic job done without a hassle and I appreciate the hell out of it for existing. I haven't managed to get the logs to work, but I don't use the mail app, so that's a big part of why.

I use MUDRammer on my iPad. Like others said, it's clunky and doesn't have spawns, but it gets the job done. It's enabled me to sit without needing a heavy laptop in the evenings and for that it's a lifesaver.
I do find that my poses are slightly shorter on MUDrammer than when I'm using Potato on my laptop, not sure the reason for that.

Posted in the wrong place, sorry for the double!

If you can afford a windows-based tablet, I'd suggest that instead, since you can game on them, mush on them, and in many cases now, draw on them. Getting a clip-on or bluetooth keyboard is not very expensive.

I will actually note that the Surface line is great. (Though alas, the Surface Pro doesn't work so well in a lap with the keyboard case.)
-
@sparks I used a surface pro 5 for over a year as my main computer and it handled everything pretty well, I MUSHed, colored several comic covers, and ran guild wars 2 on it with no problems.

MudRammer is what I use on my phone and iPad. It's the best I've found.
That said, you could come play my game from the web portal! We got "spawned" chats and "spawned" scenes and... ya know. Wave of the future?
I mean, Evennia's new built-in web client is also pretty swank, isn't it?

Beg someone for shell access somewhere.
SSH in and use TF.
Bonus points if you learn how to use βscreenβ.
