Friday, a bunch of people went out for drinks for my boss' birthday. I met a lot of new people, but was also drunk by the end of it (never turn down a free drink... or 5 free drinks).

I passed a girl in the hall today that I vaguely remember meeting.
She remembered my name.
I couldn't even begin to guess at hers. :X

how do people remember names?!

Just don't let it fester for weeks because then it becomes awkward.

I feel so bad when I can't remember someone's name and they remember mine.

You just ask someone. Most people understand this problem, as most people are good with faces and absolute crap at names. They usually have pity, and someone will know.

that's part of the problem rn. She caught me by surprise in the hall and I had somewhere to be so I couldn't stop or anything ...... but now I don't know if I'd recognize her if I saw her again.

Insist on its use.

Eventually, someone will use her real name around you.
