Which device do you play from?
-
That's probably the only real issue I have with it. Honestly, the fact that it can spawn multiple separate windows for com channels that I can physically move around makes up for any other issue I might have. I can't do that in Potato.
Though I do wish it had a spell checker. And it's always being updated which is nice.
-
Keep it to devices and not MUSH clients, folks! We already have a thread about clients.
-
There was a time when my job wouldn't allow us to bring in our own devices, we were forced to use company supplied Chromebooks. At first I ssh'd to my MUD host and ran TF from there, but then I discovered DuckClient and liked it so much that I used it for several years, even installing it on my desktop at one point. Honestly, it isn't bad, unless you're a coder/builder and need FugueEdit support.
These days I bring my laptop (Linux Mint) in to work and I mostly MU* via Potato and sometimes BeipMU.

Duckclient(which I don't think gets enough love)
it gets more love than it deserves. I use it at work and hate it.
How can a client not parse percent signs correctly?!
I bet that drives you quackers.
Anyway, I use Potato on my laptop, and webclients/portals on my phone as emergencies dictate. My desktop is actually set up as a media server for my house that I stream games and movies from, so playing on that is feasible but more than a bit odd.

Phone.
I was once declared 'shockingly coherent' for someone RPing from a phone. You don't get those sorts of compliments every day.

This and this is how I laptop in bed, by the way. (Sprawling on my stomach is uncomfortable for me for whatever reason.)
I HAD a nice lap table, but it didn't make the cut when I packed a truck to move from east coast to west. I prob should replace it someday. It'd make bed-computer-time so much nicer. Mine was more like this tho
-
I tend to play from my desk and/or laptop primarily, using BeipMU (swapped over from SimpleMu, and wish I had done it a long time ago.)
On occasion, I will log in on my phone using MUDRunner, but I don't tend to try and RP with that.
-
@TheOnceler Considering my own encounters with people RPing on their phone, that is high praise.
-
Also: Desktop exclusive, with 78 chrome windows open and music and some show I've watched 23 times in the background while playing with cats.
-
Desktop 90%
ASUS Chromebook 10% - I have linux running alongside chrome to use actually good clients. -
- From work - @Cheesegrater's website (http://www.cheesesoftware.com/MUCon/) + Ares portals
- From home - Desktop PC using BeipMU
- Occasionally - Ares portals on my phone
-
Laptop and potato when I can. Haven’t rp’ed lately. I want to. I soooo want to.

The qualifier is important. For example I'd expect someone RPing from a home to be a depressed, broken person so coherence is indeed a jump up from that.
-
It's really about 50/50, PC/Phone. But I try to warn if I'm phoning it in and for the most part just avoid large scenes on it.
-
(quietly hoping to see someone say WEB TV)
-
Mostly my desktop at home with BeipMU client. From work occasionally on my phone via Ares webportal. I have an old laptop I take out in bed now and again but I rarely do anything more taxing than watching channel chatter on it while streaming something.
-
80% my chromebook, and 20% on my phone. If I'm just chilling and not RPing I'm almost always on my phone. If I want to RP I typically switch to my chromebook after the first pose or so.
-
PC Master Race here. ETA - Primary rig, used for video games and everything else too. Client = Potato.
I can't type for beans on my phone (speed or accuracy, relative to a computer keyboard) and I'm too much of a perfectionist that I can't entertain the idea of RP on my phone. Also because I want logs.
-
Currently, the old desktop. When the old desktop dies, I'll run it from the other one, which is much newer.
On the bluest of moons when traveling for a bit, the iPad, with a keyboard and mouse set up with it. I've used the husband's ancient backup laptop for this once in a bluer moon, but it's almost as bad as the tablet, and taking both with us somewhere is not worth it, especially if I have to take the tablet anyway for other things.
I have logged in from the phone just to chat OOC briefly, but I would never even try to RP from it.
