Help A Kitty :(
-
So my precious princess has not been acting right lately. She's been very vocal and sounding like she's in pain. She's not eating as much as she used to, and she's peeing in inappropriate places even when the box is clean. Unfortunately, I had a bad run of being sick and missed a lot of work and I'm really strapped.
I hate having to ask for help, but if you can I'd greatly appreciate it.
(I can also pay you back later on once I'm back to working full time and out from under being late on my rent.)

Sent a little extra because vet visits can run over total pretty easily. I hope she feels better soon!

Thank you!
And to everyone else: thank you!
Any extra will go toward any medication she may need. I'm hoping that she just has a urinary infection or something really easy to clear up.
I don't hope she's sick but she's been acting weird, so I just hope it's something small.

I couldn't send anything rn because I just paid rent and it wiped me out, but... if you need anything extra (cause kitty meds can be expensive) come Wednesday, let me know.

@Auspice Thank you! I'll let you know.
Update: Oya has an appointment Monday. I will let you all know what we find.
-
Please let us know. Iβm a bit strapped due to the holidays and having garbage children who want many of the gifts.
-
We have finished our vet visit. Oya has an inflammatory reaction, and some white & red blood cells in her urine. They think mild UTI and stress from my roommates cat(s) being in her territory. So we have some work to do to get her territory set up specifically for her and the other cats kept out of it.
She has been given a long lasting antibiotic shot, a small dose of painkillers to help with any pain, and been given some samples of urinary proactive pet food I'm gonna see if she'll eat and get more of if she does.
Thank you so much for everyone who donated! I was so worried it was something worse.
If anyone needs the money they donated back please let me know via PM and I will get it back to you ASAP once I'm out from under scrambling for my rent.
-
So glad she's OK!
-
@Cobaltasaurus That's a relief! I'm glad she's on the path to recovery. Good girl, Oya.
-
@Caryatid We are also working on setting up specific territories for the kitties. The boys are not allowed in my room anymore. Roommate 1's cat is obeying pretty good, but roommate 2's cat is a little shit and she refuses to discipline him or train him at all. So he's being more difficult to keep out.
And when I can afford it I'm gonna grab pheromone collar's that help keep kitties calm.

@Cobaltasaurus Meowjuana 'Kalico Kush" You can get it at the pet stores or online. I bring it with me when I'm doing drop-in's on the high stress Cats. It's a mix of traditional catnip and Valerian root. Ollie is a ridiculously high strung stray that got adopted, will beat the shit out of his owner, but I bring that with me and he is my -friend- and he calms, gives me his belly, closes his eyes. All the signs. He does it for her too when she uses it.

So glad your kitty is gonna be okay!
