MU Things I Love

An exit in my Zoya's room was broken because I was stupid and gave it the same name as a channel. I said something on a channel about feeling like an idiot about it, but didn't put in a +request because it was my own dang fault.
Well one of Arx staff fixed it. I don't know who or when, but it works now. Everytime I look at it I am grateful for a staff who cares about the little stuff too.

I think they do this:
-
Sometimes, researching a compelling concept for a MU* helps you discover really cool facts about the people, industries, countries and histories you're tying your character to.
-
When you watch seeds you planted ages ago explode slowly into plot.
-
@crawfish I'm excited to be working with folks to try and bring a plot that started -- two years ago? To fruition.
-
The moment you get to say 'I have no idea where this ride is going, but welcome to the plot!'

I was just talking to a non-gamer about MUSHland and mentioned the horrible incident of VASpider as a houseguest doing massive damage to somebody's house and breezing off.
And also mentioned this time I had MUSHers as houseguests. One was on vacation, doing a road-trip tour of the US. They went and picked up the second MUSHer and spirited them away from an abusive relationship, took them along on part of the trip. They stayed at motels and other players' houses, and left the one who had needed a ride out where they wanted to go before the other flew home.
It's like that, too.
-
Running a scene for some great writers who kept a nice clip and were engaged the whole way through. A+
-
So much enjoyment writing with those who use a wildly different style than I do. (I don't mind flowery prose. I like it.) The way that others play with their words. Puns, wordplay, purple or hyper-descriptive. It encourages me. Sure, I have a thesaurus open - but they're having fun.

I am always going to feel isolated and separate from the rest of the world. I am always going to feel like a lesser kind of person, not by the reality I live but by the decree of people who have more power than I have. That's just how it is.
But sometimes, people will remind me that though I don't know how to reach out to them, let alone how to connect to them the way they seem to do so easily to each other, we have shared experiences that we can come together over and support each other through and try to lift one another out of. It's terrible that shared pain is what makes it happen, but something beautiful can come out of it, and for just a moment I can almost perceive the connections we all have but that I'm otherwise blind to; and that perception feels like being embraced by strangers who are trying their best to help me. It takes my breath away in the best possible way, and if it also does bad things to my blood pressure, that's fine. You gotta pay the cost to ride the rides.
I'm saying the MU thing I love is all of you. If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry about it. You're sincerely better off for having missed it. I'm gonna take a little break now until I get my breath back, and watch cartoons about princesses who want to be friends even if it's dangerous to be.

I have absolutely no idea who you play but I almost always find value or insight or humor in your posts, so <3, you sweet angel baby, whoever you are.

@aria Thank you so much. You're also wonderful.

Every time I go to the Arx wiki page, my eye immediately draws to the "latest news" section, I always misread Tehom's "Healing Tweak" post as "Healing Twerk" and it makes me grin really immaturely each time.
-
@mietze You made me Google this. I hope you're proud of yourself.

-
@roz the imagery makes me super happy!
-
I almost had someone roll for interpretive dance this week. Because sometimes words aren't enough.
-
@crawfish You gotta be careful with those dance rolls, tho.
