Cheap or Free Games!

Roguelike (and hybrids) I've personally enjoyed:
Spelunky
FTL
Darkest Dungeon
Desktop Dungeons
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Heat Signature
DungeonmansNow I haven't played Tangledeep yet, but my friend has the longest running LP on Youtube and I've talked with the developer some (I hung out in his Discord for a while). It looks great, it's really building in popularity, and I def. plan to give it a shot once I've got the free time.

Darkest dungeon is available on iOS

Don't tell me that.
I didn't need to know that. -
It might be IPad only

Looks like it is. I'm saved (until I get an iPad)

I was just about to offer you my old ipad. Then I thought I should actually go pull this bastard off the shelf, plug it in, recharge it, and see if it still works before I make that offer.
On topic: just checked my phone and I'm not seeing a Darkest Dungeon in the app store, so I think @BobGoblin is right about it being ipad specific.
-
Also darkest dungeon has an expansion coming out soon. It's their second. Support them indie

The tablet I have is 6 years old. Runs Android 4. And has to be factory reset every time you want to use it.
...it's pretty much a brick. I keep it around because I sometimes have to troubleshoot things for work on it.
I actually have to buy a new (Android) tablet for work purposes soon (since I need one that will run a newer version of Android). Tax write-off, but I'd really rather have an iPad.
-
Yeah, I was wanting Darkest Dungeon but my iPad can't play it. I was hoping to get it for that because I could just play it while relaxing in my room but I guess I'll just get it from Steam eventually.
-
I didn't see this posted elsewhere, so...
With the release of the new expansion, Stellaris has all editions 60% off for another 27 hours. So base game for $15.99.
-
@templari
I'm dubious about the changes with the new expansion but the discounts are fantastic. -
@jaded I was just playing the expansion. At first it feels "ARGH HATE CHANGE!" and now I'm like "Oh good, stations are useful again!"

What I'm jonesing for is a good free (or cheap if that's all I can get) roguelike game, either for an older iPad (4gen) or via Steam. I have a few but they're a bit on the meh side.
Incidentally, Apple has already stopped developers from releasing new 32-bit programs onto the App Store and will stop developers from updating 32-bit apps at all later this year.
So you're probably looking at just "via Steam".
Sorry.

@templari
I think the biggest change I disliked was the change to selecting your own form of space travel at the start. I feel that it was because there was a ton of pressure from the player base on the forums and during the AMAs the devs would do, to go to the standard hyperlane locked style of play. And just about all of the complaints centered around, "its too hard for me." -
Bah. That's rather shitty of them. Oh well. Thanks for letting me know.

Well, as someone whose job it is to explain this to people who would rather ascribe Apple's actions to malice than something else, they did support it for nine years and did warn the developers three years ago, giving that particular device a six-year support cycle.
Good luck getting that life cycle out of any other hardware company. It's the software part that sucks; sorry for the bad news.
The iPad Air is your low-end software-supported iPad for now.
-
Ah. I was not aware of that. Thanks for explaining that to me.
-
It's only 'free' in the way that if you already have it you no longer spend any money, but Diablo 3's new season started on Saturday.
-
@arkandel Now you tell me.
Who will power level my what is it again? Non-Hardcore Seasonal? -
Okay. I have 20 PAGES of unclaimed keys from Humble Bundle. Is there a mod, an app, anything that will go through and add the ones i don't have to Steam for me? Even just say if I already have it on Steam? ANYTHING?
