@sixregrets Ebay!
I was more referring to learning about it, rather than where to buy. Something I came across warned about some brands being better than others, some not melting consistently, etc. I also don't really know the basics either.
-
@sixregrets brand name Perler are good and reliable. Some other brands are fine but what you definitely don’t want to do is mix brands because they will melt inconsistently. It can take a few tries to get the hang of the ironing, especially the edges, but you can usually go back and fix mistakes. Ironing only takes a few seconds. I usually iron hard on one side (melt a lot) and then flip the piece over and do that side a little less aggressively. They cool and are done in a couple of minutes after ironing.

I wanted to ask you about doing a group one the next time you're open. I'd like to get a two IC sisters done, and was thinking about just purchasing 2 orders but you just do the one?
-
@cobalt I'll set up a specific listing for that kind of thing this week.

@rightmeow
https://www.etsy.com/shop/MahalDoodles
I mean as long as there are openings it's allowed!

Hey! Popular request had me make a new listing!
Group shots! Up to 6 but after that we're gonna need to sit down and figure out logistics.
Yes, I'm drawing the Nox as hairless cats.
Yes, that is Lorelai and Orazio.
Yes, I'm having way too much fun with this. -
@crawfish No, I haven't been checking my email every couple of hours for the two orders(one personal, one Arx cat related, and it's not even my characters because because mine are no name characters that nobody knows)though I will admit on a more personal note that I have just the place on my wall for it. Right above the Old Man's favorite perch on the back of the couch.
-
@testament I am working my way through the pile! Post office is SO SLOW. Merlin gets finished this week. Did you want a scan of him before he's in the mail?
-
@crawfish There is absolutely no rush at all, though I admit to a level of eagerness as I know you suddenly blew up(which is good, congrats on that). I'd love a scan of it, thank you.
-
Another batch done, so i renewed the original listing.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/973369375/custom-cat-character-drawing-small
I put in a 'personalize' thing in them, so if there's a specific species or coloring you'd like for your Arx cat, feel free. So far I've been using their in-game sheets to figure out their colors but so many of you are black-haired/brunettes I'm worried they all might look the same, so please put in breed/pattern ideas in your order if you've got a preference. Otherwise, I'll pick what I think looks okay and hasn't been over-used (I love Siamese coats and patterns, I won't lie).
-
@crawfish I love Sorrel so so much!
I need to go through the thread and pull down kitties to alter and upload!
-
Here is the updated site: http://arxkitties.s3-website.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/
If I have missed your kitty, please let me know. Preferably with a link where I can grab the original art that @Crawfish is creating so magnificently.
-
Volcica's is so far is still the cutest to me.
-
@testament I love it so much. So, so much.
-
@aria That's the knitpicks Muse yarn, isn't it. (I just finished a momshawl in it with a color just like the magenta/violet/blue is why I ask!)
