Hey folks, I don't know how many of you remember the user Brus/BrusW from the old days of WORA and SWOFA, the oWoD Mage admin and coder of "not bollocking nuts and powertripping on huffed farts" type.

It is my sad task to tell that he passed away this morning, Pacific time, while asleep. He was 54. The last two years he had been in various cancer treatments, and in early days of August this year he told me that nothing was working anymore. He kept up his humor and wits 'till the end.

So, if you have a good memory of him, toast to it and remember him well.

      Well fuck me.

        Well fuck.

Brus was the best of us. I mean that. We could use more like him, and we lost someone who meant a lot to me for this hobby.

Rest in peace, my good man.

            I am genuinely sad.

Brus was a true gentlemen. I never saw him lose his shit. He had strong opinions, but they were thoughtful and insightful.

            The world is worse now.

@Lolth I remember him, and I'm usually terrible with names and we only rarely happened to interact. But he stuck out as being really nice and approachable, and helpful. This is very sad to hear.

I have a number of memories of Brus and this made me very sad to learn yesterday. He was a steady and steadfast presence, particularly through my years of playing oWoD Mage. A chunk of time was spent yesterday with various "old Mushers" that remain in my close circle remembering the man and the fun that we had. RIP Brus. 😒

Getting old is really sucking, I gotta say.

Addendum: I'm almost positive that Brus was the first to coin the word "dinosaur" to describe a PC that has been around so long, and gained so much XP, that they were a problem for the game.

First time hearing this news. Very sad, as he was indeed a great player.

                      RIP
