Exploratores, Speculatores, and Oxosi: RenoMush
-
Greetings,
Not sure if this is the correct place for this post but, due to the recent events unfolded by @Ganymede I am seeking certain characters to join mine own in establishing a presence within Nevada, beside Krieg of Red Berlin.
Character Types:
* Speculatores - Spies. Shapechangers (via Obfuscate, Animalism, Protean or other means) these characters will need high mental fortitude, and social mutability. Caesar used them to infiltrate an enemy, learn, and report - so will The Lancea Sanctum require them to do the same. * Exploratores - Scouts. Cartographers. (via Animalism, Auspex, or other means) these characters will know The Land, The Flora and Fauna, The People. They will need physical fortitude, as well as mental mutability. Caesar used them to know the land he would conquer, to learn the dangers of what was in front of his Great Red Machine, and so will The Lancea Sanctum require them to do the same. * Oxosi: An African God of The Hunt. Hounds of Acaeton of Gangrel, Adroanzi and Nocktuku of Nosferatu, Amara Havana of Daeva, Adrestoi of Ventrue, and the Norvegi of Mekhet are all examples of what will work best, as far as bloodlines, they are not rules but rather guidelines to bring together different personalities and tactics to the Greatest Ritual: The Hunt. This isn't a group of humanitarians. These figures live on the past fears of Man; heightening the reason Man huddled around a fire in the night, and never went anywhere alone. They hunt, kill, skin and use the parts of their Prey to further their nightly agenda. Krieg is known widely within The Lance, and Invictus, for favoring The Most Dangerous. Within the Lance, HOW these figures get things done is not nearly as important as the result. The leaders within The Lance have sent them to Reno based on past merits. * The Lodge of Bones: The Bear Lodge, The Hunt Club, Les Mysteres. Do you really think vampires and werewolves are the scariest The World of Darkness has to offer? Man is the Ultimate Hunter. Be it for food, for prestige, for sport or because The Spirits tell you to do it. It is done. The Lance is everywhere, and like Caesar's Legions; it is made up of thousands of personalities from a plethora of backgrounds - and not all of them are Kindred, or even know that they belong to The Lance. The Lodge of Bones within Reno will form outside of the Oxosi; and will have the same zeal of The Hunt that the Kindred above do. Maybe not all of them hunt things of flesh-and-blood, either. My online times vary, but mostly throughout the week after 1800EST I should be home, and able to log in. If you are having trouble finding me on Reno, feel free to message me here any questions, ideas, et cetera.

What's the IC impetus for these predatory Sanctified moving to Nevada?
-
It could be several things. From the command of highers based on merit, to Boons owed higher ups, or the draw for Great Prey - such as werewolves, lore, or more dangerous humans.
It is also an opportunity for such ageless hunters to grow their repertoire, and expand their reputations.
-
Can you throw in a few return characters, or not use the 'this is code' code? Thanks.
Mind you, I have no idea what these words mean.
-
I got motion sickness trying to read that.
-
Clipboard copy/paste into word processor then read up.
-
Oh, shit. My bad.

Sorry about that, had no idea it did that.
-
You can also edit your posts.
-
Has there been any takers on anything like this? I mean in game any changes and/or talks of activity?
-
I would love to! Sadly, I don't believe the Lance will have me. If they did, I'd be all over it.
-
Why would the Lance not have someone capable? Look at Krieg. He does not adhere to their dogma; he is used, and he uses them, and their relationship is a good relationship.
No one yet has stepped forward, but, that is why I posted this here, so people could see it, think about it, and join when able.

Because my PC's a Crone.

I don't know about anyone else but... If the game is truly a sandbox in theory why couldn't your PC change covenants through RP. Or whatever needs to happen in play? I mean the staff is so hands off I feel like you could have your PC turn into an anime dragon and it'd be cool as shit as long as you don't need a job approved on it >.>

@ThatOneDude True facts: The Reach had a PC Vamp that was a dracolich, basically.

The Reach had a UFO land in the middle of Aleswich and let out aliens who had a laser fight with locals.

TR was a special place. At once horrifying and magical.
