In all honesty, that's fair. I suppose I'll have enough crud to buy without worrying about another discipline.
HOWEVER -- In all seriousness, I'd like to talk shop at you about your BL list sometime, when you've got time. Not because of what I want to play, you've already seen my toon -- but some of the others.

We'll have plenty of time to talk shop about BL over the course of the first six months. I plan on asking people's opinions and what not. I've also been working with @tragedyjones on rewriting the Bloodline disciplines/powers/whatever into Gift+Devotion sets, and we've got some really good ones. He's using them for Reno, so we'll see how they work out there, and it'll be a really good test.

Its actual effects are different from the Discipline, so I'm okay with it. It just means the Spina will need their own new name for, and maybe some small changes to, their powers, if we end up going with that.

Well, if the Bloodline is in the book itself, I expect it to be treated like the other bloodlines. Devotions to mimic portions of the Discipline, rather than a custom Discipline. So it might not be a bad thing in the long run in general.

Yeah, that's why I said "powers". It's likely they'll get a set of Devotions. I don't think we'll see any Bloodlines in Secrets of the Covenants, to be honest. But Courtoise seems to have become an Invictus Style Merit, so if they keep the Spina as a Bloodline, I suspect they'll change the name of the Gift/Devotions. (Or maybe they won't get a Devotion package, the Kerberos didn't. I would hate that. Some fucking consistency would be nice.)
If Eldritch ends up using custom Bloodlines, they will all have their own Gift + 4 Devotion set up, like Reno is currently moving towards. The Spina's Gift will just have to have a new name, is all.

Regarding the Invictus stuff, I actually like everything in here. The big failing of the Invictus in Requiem 1e, was that it had no teeth -- the covenant could not enforce its own internal structure, let alone its authority. Now not only does the Invictus have the tools to take and keep power, there are a ton of benefits for non-Invictus for allowing them to do so.
I will note that in my experience regardless of alliances on paper (I might've said this earlier or elsewhere), relations between the Sanctified and the Invictus on MU*s deteriorate almost instantly, in either edition of the game -- maybe it's just the way some people play Sanctified, IDK.

In my experience the Invictus and LS are allied on every game, ever, and their alliances never break down or suffer even though invariably the LS gets the positions of power and the Invictus get nothing.

Don't neglect the fact some players only play one kind of thing. So if a few motivated, good RPers end up playing LS (or SL or whatever) on every game, that's what you get.

I've got no commentary on the quality of players in any specific covenant. I was just stating what happens on every nWoD game that I've been on with a vampire sphere.
