Also seeking new mu*

Hey all! So. I basically joined soapbox SPECIFICALLY to ask around: I'm looking for a good mu* to play. I'd love either (in order of desire) 1)something with western overtones (cowboys in space, cowboys in the prairies, cowboys with magic, I'm flexible) or 2)something urban-fantasy flavoured. For the urban fantasy, I prefer something with a little grit/noir, where not all the PCs are white knights, but not where everyone goes around with GRIMDOOM hanging over their heads.
Generally in urban-fantasy type games I play either mortals/psychics/small time magic users.
I'm out of touch with WoD, and if at all possible I'd like to avoid a WoD game...but if you know a great one, let me know! I also tend to RP at off times, so a place where one can find at least a person or two to RP with at six am pst would be nice.

My honest suggestion would be Bump in the Night. It is WoD but mortals only so less learning/refreshing memory overhead.
I have no personal experience with the place but it gets generally good word of mouth on here. Mp clue on how active it is at the hours you mentioned but might be worth checking out.
On the cowboy front I know of nothing. -
@cirim13 Hey! I'm working on an game based off of the Nalini Singh GuildHunter novels. It'll be using the Fate Accelerated Edition rules. We're not quite ready yet, it's just a matter of tweaking code and getting it all installed-- and theme files and stuff (and grid). But, we'll get there-- it might be something that'd interest you.

I am vaguely bummed about the lack of a western mu* out there. Am I the only one who would squee at the wild west with a dash of eldritch?
@ThatGuyThere I'll lurk about and see if it'll cure my fix. I do like the idea of mortals-only in a big bad world.
@Cobaltasaurus The Singh GuildHunter novels are actually on my too-read list but I haven't actually read them yet. I might move them up on the lit, if there's a game coming out. Too early for a timetable so I know how far up the list to move it? I have a reaaaally long list.

That is the one that has been around for a while, there was a couple hundred page thread about it on Wora. Never played there myself, but had multiple independent sources that mentioned the guy running it harassing over e-mail and other off game means.
From all accounts the crazy is strong there. -
