@Insomnia I know, but what I meant is... at the moment you buy (or 'buy') a game. Like, the title is what you purchase.
In the cloud/streaming model it's more likely we'll be purchasing subscriptions to libraries of games instead. So instead of $60 for the latest CoD we'd be paying $10/month for premium titles, $3/month for casual games, etc.
-
@Arkandel I figured, but a lot of people aren't aware of it.

This is good enough. Not that I mind the Epic Launcher (it's now not as bad as I first experienced), but it's the far, far inferior to Steam's launcher.
(Though if you really want to support CDPR, buy it on GOG. Though @Insomnia or your favorite streamer.)

Me: Oh wow, Bloodlines 2 is up for preorder everywhere!
GOG: Available March 2020
Me: ... Nevermind. There are a few things I will pre-order (CP2077 will be one of them to support everyone involved), but with a whole year of lead-time? Yahno.
-
@Thenomain I would love if there was some sort of thing I could be involved in with GoG, but so far as I know they don't have anything yet. Humble though...

After Anthem I've decided to reenact my "wait until I know more about what I'm buying policy."
But then again, knowing me, 4 months before Bloodlines 2 comes out I'll squeal like a kid about Masquerade+RPG+maybe nudity and throw money at it.

If you preorder the deluxe one you get a stop sign item.

Anyone keeping an eye on Cyberpunk 2077, CDPR has stated that it will not be an exclusive for any launcher - Steam or Epic - and that they are projecting to release late 2019 or early 2020.
They have also confirmed that there's going to be a boatload of small free DLC content and at least 3 DLCs on the size and scale like those produced for The Witcher 3.
There's also been very heavy speculation that Cyberpunk isn't the only big game that CDPR is working on. Nobody knows what, but there's a suspicion that it may be Witcher-related. Not saying Witcher 4(which I doubt will ever actually happen), but my guess is something prequel to the trilogy, kind of like how the Crownbreaker War for the Gwent game worked. Although, some people really want that game based around playing Ciri as your main character, so I dunno.
I'd say expect Cyberpunk to drop in fall of 2020 and then another game to fall somewhere in 2021.
-
That, Outer Worlds, and Cyberpunk are the major things I'm looking forward to. I lose hype just by my nature, but those are three I just love oh so much. Except Outer Worlds kinda spurned me with being Epic and Windows Store exclusive. I guess I can and will tolerate the latter.

@Testament
I can confirm there is another IP in the works. Just not content. In other gaming interests:
If you liked the old Tenchu Stealth Assassins games and you are a fan of Dark Souls or Souls-like games, you might want to check out Sakiro: Shadows Die Twice. I just finished doing my review play for it and that is exactly my first impression of the game.
The game design lets you take both a stealth ninja approach or a more upfront samurai kind of approach to a lot of the encounters outside of boss combat.
MKIceandFire has been doing an LP of it since its release, commentary-free. I recommend checking it out before purchase.

I'm more looking forward to the severed arm (as a skin or not).
These people really know their fanbase.

Tropico 6 is up for release on the 29th and I got a review copy this morning. After playing it for a couple hours I can say that if you liked the other Tropico games you'll like this.
Really not much has changed - there are some cosmetic changes on buildings, a couple of new industries, a few other quality of life features like the ability to move the palace around now...but the formula is still pretty much the same.
While it is a been there done that game, I can say that I've enjoyed the entire series since the Tropico 3 and this one is equally fun to play as a city builder.

@Auspice Yanno, I'm not so convinced the next Elder Scrolls game is going to be a megahit like Skyrim was. Elder Scrolls has a following, but none of the games exploded the way that Skyrim did. Popular? Yes. MEGApopular? Skyrim was.
Will Elder Scrolls' next major release do as well without fighting dragons and Viking badasses? I guess we're gonna find out one way or another.

Don't you dare hurt me this early in the week.

@Auspice Welp, Bethesda.net isn't working because Bethesda. I mean, I lost my copy of Morrowind, so it'd be nice to have a replacement, but whelp.

I was gonna ask if anyone else is having issues. I've reset my password a few times and keep getting the 'password failed' prompt. I only had Morrowind on Xbox.
-
Yeah I logged in to help (Which took my new password) and under the services tab there are issues with the webpage, accounts, and the launcher, so we both reset our passwords for nothing.
