I hear what you’re saying. I’m pretty old school like that too. But the problems with NMS and ME:A aren’t the same. Believe me, the problems with ME:A go deeper than “there’s a lot of bugs.”
Bugs I can forgive. False advertising, not so much.

Performance has been decent and the game looks gorgeous whilst having largely well written and well acted plots in an amazingly rich and interesting world. Some of the very RPG mechanics stuff like levelled equipment and enemies suck and run counter to the immersion but overall I am having a great time.
You're playing the PC version, which from what I have seen, runs decently. It's the console version, particularly the current gen console version, that seem to run like shit.
@ominous PC version runs just fine, as that's what I've been playing it on.
Sure, there's the odd bug or glitch, random cars suddenly shoot into the air and explode, but I'll take that over the state of the console versions.
Basically, it's not as glitchy as a Bethesda game, but only just.

Hate to bring back up a silly topic, but.. sometimes things just don't.. age well? People grow up? What was once an incisive critique/social commentary has aged REALLY poorly. Things change.. Judging books nearly 2-4 decades old at this point for being culturally savvy and appropriate is nearly as bad as expecting Birth of a Nation to have a nuanced view on race relations and immigration.
People who are like, well the voodoo boys were written as racist.. in a setting that is about like, hey racism is messed up.. is lie getting upset at vampires because it sexualizes blood. It's kinda built into the theme. Just the portrayals of that racism haven't aged well.. because.. this may be crazy.. the dialogue/nuances have changed.
I get that? But Pondsmith himself was defending it in 2019 as if it were still relevant, not admitting that like...hey, I wrote this 30 years ago, maybe a better take was necessary. That's my only beef with it.
The only reason I brought this up at all was to point out that some people have found a lot of fault in the game's politics but given the source material they're using, I understand the struggle. Change it too much and it's not recognizable, change it too little and it's dated and awful by our standards.

I find it amusing that people are arguing about politics n shit in the game, when the biggest problem is the game doesn't address the snuff chip enough.. I'm actually.. going to start a thread on it here. Maybe even reddit? Fuck it man.

Point taken. I think the reason it irked me so bad was that the Voodoo Boys are there next to gangs of literal evil clowns and people who dress up like John Wayne and Abraham Lincoln. If the gangs were supposed to be critical social commentary, it was extremely muddled by the sheer...80's-ness of everything in that section. You're sort of left without any real context and the author could have made it a little clearer, but...

@wizz More than fair! Again, I won't deny its problematic, but at least in helped contribute to the dialouge, and Pondsmith IS changing and updating things. Better to adapt and change then just keep it the same right?
Shadowrun does a way better job at it- a lot more obvious, its easy to point out how racism is fucked up when you literally just make another race to expy for Blacks- great way to help demonstrate the concept of systematic racism too, in easy to understand terms!
Cyberpunk (the game, not the genre) doesn't have that going for it sadly, and so has to just be more overt at times, and sometimes that makes it age really, really poorly.

This is mostly for shareholders, who presumably took a loss of around 15% when stocks fell after bad reviews and CDPR stating that the game was not ready for release but they didn't want to delay again. They're claiming that it was material misrepresentation, so their stock losses, basically.
ETA: That doesn't mean that it's the only thing that will get pursued. Attorneys can pretty much voodoo up (pun intended) all kinds of damages. What sticks is another story.

Yes, plus the whole "Lets not put console review copies out and release on console anyway" combined with the fact that they lied to Sony AND Microsoft to get through certification just so they could get the game out, well, there's a lot that CDPR management did that you can point to and say "Ya done fucked up."

I mean, yeah, that's my thoughts on it too. This isn't actually going to go anywhere. My thing was more to counter the idea that it's an actual lawsuit, as the OP said. It hasn't even gotten to that phase yet.
