Monaco Bay Weyr at Pernworld Mush: Burn, baby... Burn?!

Monaco has been quiet....far too quiet. Perhaps the lull of winter had seduced its residents into behaving, but of course peace can never last for very long at /that/ Weyr. It was well past dinner when the smell of smoke began winding its way through the kitchens and into the living caverns, prompting a very irate brownrider to barge in and not so politely ask "WHERE IN FARANTH'S NAME ARE MY BUBBLIES?! THEY BETTER NOT BE BUR-".....well, he never quite got to finish that sentence. Not because he died mind you. Instead he was taken aback by a fire burning quite nicely in one of the kitchen's trash bins. It didn't take long for help to be called over and the flames put out, but it seems that investigations are under way. After all, trash bin fires don't just start themselves.
OOC: OR DO THEY!? It's almost that time of year... Monaco will be heading into Search this January and we've got plenty of fun things in store. This is one of several plots we've got on the horizon and we're looking for characters from all walks of life (but still the human species) to hop in. @Kairmine Not that some prose isn't always nice to set the tone, but since you're advertising a game can we have more information about it in the post than its name?

What more do you need to know: Its Pern, Dragons ,and coffeshop RP much of the time? (From what I remember of my MUSH rp experience on Pern MU*s.)

It's PernWorld. There is literally no more to know than this ad.
The game is "create character, go to whatever area currently has Search, RP there for 4-5 weeks, get a dragon, idle along with everyone else in the area since now they've all moved over to the next area with Search, rinse, repeat."
You'll probably get a few pages from squicky weirdos trolling for TS in among all that, but that's about as exciting as it gets. "Plot" is a term generally used loosely to imply "stuff we do around Hatching-time."

I'm just flabbergasted at someone posting a trash bin fire as an enticing plot lead-in to sell the game. Really? Was the paint drying plot considered too risqué?

@WTFE Well, they did stop putting lead into paint, so...
In all honesty, I hear where you're coming from. You can't entice people to play a text based game without setting the scene and mood for what you're trying to promote. Since there's no pictures, you have to literally paint it with text. I was just posting on behalf of a friend and thought it would be in poor form to change their ad without them knowing. I could've written something for them but didn't feel it was in my place to do so since I was largely idle at the time.
