Tales of Cobalt-Colored Woe

This post is one part for people who want to know what's up with with our intrepid little Mu*-Coder-turned-Going-To-School-For-Real, one part hat-in-hand.
Okay, so, here I am. A few days ago, I get a Skype from Cobalt that she was in a bad accident that she was told to be lucky to walk away from, that her car was sheered in half, things like that. I've seen one or two bad accidents, but then she mentions she has a GoFundMe for getting a new car, and I looked at it, and...well, just go look at it.

To say that Cobalt has been working hard to go to school and stay in school is an understatement. It's not really my place to spell out all the details, but this is not the first setback she's had, and she is working hard to better her life, sure as hell harder than I am. Even though I've never met her, I consider Cobalt to be a close friend, and so on her behalf, and with her permission, I'm asking for help.
Thanks.
edit: If it helps, Cobalt created the "events" system for Mushes. It might not help, but it might!

Holy fuck! I wish I could help. Am glad she's alright!
-
Ooof. I hope she's recovering OK, and I will try to find some spare cash.
-
@Apu
She is fine. Aches and bruises, maybe sprained her pinky, the usual shoulder aching you get after a bad crash. She went to the clinic immediately and got x-rayed to make sure.
If you can even throw $5 at it, that would be fantastic. Not to get too NPR about it, but if you've wanted to thank Cobalt for her work and games, or even if you wanted to thank me, $5 to this would be a fantastic way to do it. I don't take money for the hobby because I feel that would be selfish. I'm not doing anything amazing, and I'm doing it for my own fun as well as the fun of those around me.
Cobalt's been changing her life. This is getting in her way. I'll offer my services to get it out of her way. That's my pitch.
Thanks.

Good god. I'm so glad she's not seriously hurt; that car is a horrible unhappiness. Threw some money at it, and will keep my fingers crossed.
-
I'll send her something as soon as I can.
-
I know she doesn't come here now, but if someone can pass along this tidbit, it'd be appreciated. (Is also something to keep in mind, y'all.)
Even if you walk away from an accident like this (thank goodness!!!) please take it easy on yourself for a few days. Please. Sometimes, a few days later, the body has a way of rebelling the moment it realizes: no longer in immediate peril and yes, this can take a few days.
Please take it easy on yourself for a while, even if you think you're OK. I've got chronic pain from not listening to this advice from a similar accident in college, and I don't want to see that happen to anybody, especially anyone around here. Please take care of yourselves. It really is important.

To those who have helped, you have my undying gratitude. I've been thinking of what I could do for those insanely amazing people who have donated $100 (and higher, holy shit!), but short of baking cookies or code services, I can't think of anything.
Thank you.

I intend to donate again once I get my next paycheck in 6 days. And if I had my tax refund in, yeah, I'd do what I can too.
Because I need code help.

Ffffiiiiiiine, I'll code Earthdawn.

I would donate but I just moved and money is tight. If help is still needed in a few weeks I might be able to kick something in, just keep us updated here.

Was donating before, but now supra donating.

You've probably done it already over the last however long you've been doing this. Many of our funtimes are due in big part to you and Cobalt, specifically those of us who play WoD. So its been done.
-
I don't want anyone to feel that they need to match some of the insanely amazing numbers other people are donating. I was honestly expecting a long trickling parade of $5, which would have still warmed my soul.
I feel the same way. Actually, I feel a real connection to the hobby in a way I haven't in decades. Even for people who quietly wished well for Cobalt, I wholeheartedly thank you.

An update from our code maven:
Hallo! Thanks to everyone's generosity I was able to purchase a new car (pictures added!). At this point, everything else donated is going to be going toward filling the hole that paying the towing company for my old car caused in my rent funds, and to compensating for the two weeks of pay I lost for not having the car. (Not to mention however much I'll end up having to pay for the 2k ambulance bill the city just tried to hit me with.)
THANKS TO EVERYONE! REALLY!

@Thenomain That's a weird picture angle. I can't even see the whole Winnebago. Show that thing off!

Hallo people!
I went through the trouble of having @EmmahSue reset my password so I could come give you guys an update rather than make Thenomain do it!
First off, jesus-fucking-christ thank you all for everything. You guys are utterly amazing and I'm touched and floored beyond belief. Thank you all, so much.
I was able to get a new ride relatively fast thanks to you guys. I only lost two weeks worth of work (I'm part time, don't have sick or vacation time, this hurts me a lot), it could have been losing my actual job. So you guys really did save my fucking life there.
Here's a general update on me:
Six days after getting the new car I thought I was having a stroke because the right side of my face was not working correctly. Leave work again, go to hospital. It's Bell's Palsy (at this point my doctor things I got a viral infection that wasn't visible on examine in either my ear canal or a salivatory gland because it's swollen and hurts a bit still), and I go on antiviral 5x a day. Then immediately get the flu and an ear infection, and miss another week of work.
The Bell's Palsy is slowly starting to get better, and I'm slowly getting over the flu.
Life's rough, but I'm still kicking.
Thank you for the people who have donated in the past couple of days: It really does help since I've missed so much work between the car accident and then the illnesses.

Life's not rough. It's seriously trying to anally rape you with Lucille.
Holy fuck.

@Cobaltasaurus
As someone who is often sick a lot in RL but luckily has a salary and a very understanding workplace--
I feel a lot for you.
I hope you get better soon.
