I've done pretty well with avoiding Endgame spoilers as well as ones pertaining to the new Star Wars movie. I was unfortunately not as lucky with GoT (am waiting for the last season to conclude so I can binge watch the whole series since I fell behind by a couple) thanks to the title of a Yahoo article on it's main page, however. FFS.

The clickbait articles on Yahoo! are merciless. Those motherfuckers haven't ran into a spoiler they wouldn't use to grab attention yet and they do it right in their titles. "Six Reasons Why Thanos Just Killed Half The Universe".

At one point, we were seriously discussing going to a midnight showing. After our reception. In our wedding clothes.

My friends decided to buy tickets for Friday night, since too many of them still have work the next day. Looks like the after party is just going to be "some nearby bar", instead.

I am hella grateful that I get to go to a Thursday evening showing. I will be SUPER TIRED and risk falling asleep (because homg those recliner seats) since I work 7a-3p... but man. I was looking at a schedule of 'I dunno when I'll see it' but, local buddy who Twitch streams was doin a giveaway-ish thing (more like an auction but!) and only two of us were 'bidding' on the tickets. I had lowballed cuz, well, what was I gonna do with two tickets?! But it was for charity overall so I wanted to put in a few bucks nonetheless (and no one else had bid at all yet, so I felt I had nothing to lose).

The person that won actually contacted me later to say that they only needed one ticket also and would I like to go with them?

Uhm. Yes. Of course.

I have successfully avoided GoT spoilers (I'm waiting for the season to be done so I can binge it all at once), Endgame spoilers, and Star Wars spoilers thus far. It helps that I don't surf around the internet nearly as much these days.

So yeah, warning to folks. People are spoiling the movie in random YT comments.

@Auspice Yeah. Folks be really really careful around the internet until you get to watch major releases like that because people are complete assholes.

Needless to say spoilers on MSB will be nuked from orbit. If you need to create a thread to discuss it please do so but leave no doubt from the title and in the first few posts themselves that it can spoil things.

In other words use common sense and be considerate. We're all nerds here.

What the flipping heck. That's just... that's actively malicious. I mean, I went last night specifically so I wouldn't have to avoid spoilers all weekend, but I was envisioning the sort of accidental spoiler where people let something slip without thinking about it in the course of a conversation about the MCU or something.

I mean, I've seen people intentionally post 'spoilers' publicly as a joke, but those spoilers are generally wildly and obviously inaccurate ones. ("You won't believe the fight where interdimensional portals open up and Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman lead the Justice League show up to help the Avengers! I had no idea they'd manage to get DC to sign on for this, or that they were able to keep it so secret for so long!")

Deliberately posting accurate spoilers, much less on completely unrelated things, is just a dick move.
