      That's Centerville.

Fucking hell. It sounds like gyms will be closed in Toronto again.

I get it, there are record numbers of new Covid19 cases (wear a mask, people!) but I was so happy when I could finally get that me-time back. And I have no room at my place to build a home gym.

          Le sigh.

A few days ago, the cord for my Xbox controller stopped working. Annoying but at least I'm not totally sol since my ps4 controller works with the computer. But I had the Xbox one specifically because I preferred it for controller based pc games.

This morning my laptop charger died. Bzz-zap and a puff of smoke. It is d-e-d.

Doesn't this shit know I'm not even able to cover bills as it is? I can't be replacing shit.

I will do you one better. I am the sole Code Enforcement officer for South Santa Barbara County. When the rich fucks in Montecito complain about their neighbors building a shed or trimming a hedge too much, I am the one who gets to knock on Oprah Winfrey or Prince Harry's door to perform a site inspection. I even had one guy hire an attorney to file his complaint (a form that consists mainly of address of violation, description of violation, violator's name, your contact info) and the complaint came as a 30+ page packet with things labelled Exhibit A through P.

I find it hilarious actually in a twisted dark humor manner. People are dying of COVID, police brutality, and a myriad of other problems that financial infusions could help, and you have these rich knobs throwing gobs of money at ways to harass their neighbors.

That moment in grad school when you seriously spend twenty minutes staring at an assignment, scribbling away on a scratch pad, trying to remember how to do ninth grade math.

                        Fuck algebra, y'all.

@Arkandel According to the link in the 2nd tweet --

As Plaintiff-Creators subsequently learned, Defendant's arbitrary decision to terminate the Licensce Agreement--and thereby the book publishing contract--was based on events that had nothing to do with either the Work or Plaintiff-Creators. In fact, at nearly the exact point in time of the termination, Defendant was embroiled in a series of embarrassing public disputes whereby its non-Dragonlance publications were excoriated for racism and sexism. Moreover, the company itself was vilified by well-publicized allegations of misogyny and racist hiring and employment practices by and with respect to artists and employees unrelated to Dragonlance.

I hate having to play What's That Smell in the fridge. Its fucking clean! And still I am having to play this game while also home sick. I guess it means its not with the coronavirus, so that is good on balance.

It's fairly unusual in that: (1) there's no promissory estoppel claim; and (2) there's a tortious interference claim.

But, hey, I don't practice in WA, and they may be a little different over there.

I had to play that game, but in my spare (read: storage) room. I cleaned it entirely out and it still smelt... turns out there was something very dead in the wall. No idea how it got there.

listening to somebody try to lead to a specific answer for a question in a group discussion, rather than just telling people the answer. "what should you do in X...." when what they really want to say is "in the future, don't do Y". One takes two hours because NOBODY IS PICKING UP YOUR HINTS, and the other takes two fucking seconds. None of us can figure out what you want to hear, but it's REALLY FUCKING CLEAR you are looking for a specific answer.
