Hey Texas when I said I wanted cooler weather I didn't mean go from upper 90s to lower 50s in the space of 24 hours.

I hate this so so so much. I'm too old for that shit now.

I'm trying to get over a bad sinus infection. This is not the time for this.

The upside, I guess is that it's also rainy today and that'll get the allergens out of the air.

Colorado was at 80+ on Wednesday. Yesterday it was in the teens with four inches of snow. Today it is simply full ice EVERYWHERE and the 20s.

I dislike winter, especially when it tells fall to shove off and takes over.

Us in the States have it way worse. Everywhere else in the world the temperatures dont go much higher than 46° but we have a range that goes from -20° to 118°. On behalf of North America, I will accept the weather fluctuation award.

Request void for vagueness. Median temperature awarded.

This is pretty much how it's been here in central WA for the past month. Today was cool but the sun made it just enough that a jacket was going to make you too warm. Last week it was temperate. This week is cold if it's cloudy, cool w/ conditions if it's sunny.

I'm half-expecting it to be temperate in November, which means we'll get the White Death (snow) enough to be a nuisance.

Delaware was in the 90s before we drove to Florida and got to say in earnest incredulity: it's cooler here.

Granted, it dropped forty degrees overnight while we were leaving, because the duPont super villain weather satellite (which we are sure exists) is a spiteful ass, and is clearly malfunctioning again.

                Oh fucking well.

Apparently someone has started stealing my dad's diabetes supply out of my parent's mailbox. So I guess that's a thing now.

I know medications are expensive, but jesus fucking christ you aren't 'getting back at the man' or anything when you do that. You're hurting someone else.

                      I am so sorry 😞

Fortunately it was his testing strips and not his insulin, but even those run $1/ea and he has to test 2-3 times a day. A neighbor found most of them in the torn open box on the side of the road, but the police warned them it's probably going to keep happening. Since they know he's getting diabetic supplies shipped to the house, what they're most likely looking for isn't his medication or the strips. It's his syringes.

Uggggh. Even then, you can't get those 'refilled' easily.

The first time my folks visited me here in TX my folks had accidentally gotten my dad's testing strips refilled at their home pharmacy in SC and the insurance considered the refill already 'done' for the month and so wanted to charge them full price. It took hours to get the other pharmacy to log it back into the system.

Can your folks get it setup to be signed for?

My parents are now complaining about the hassle of having a P.O. box. At a post office with a 24 hour lobby. Which is next to their grocery store. That I offered to pay for.

Because we never know how long we get them, and despite them being a pain in the assholes I love them.

I say this to myself every time my dad does his pain in the assholes stuff, too.

There is a brand new dog park outside of my apartment door. I love petting the dogs over the fence (I always ask the owner first!). Today one of the dogs was so excited it bit me and scratched up my arm good. I am much sad now. 😞

                                        Petting dogs shouldn't hurt.
