Random disgruntlement: Instagram has been telling me my account is suspended 'for suspicious activity' (whatever the hell that means, all I do is look at posts) but they will verify it in 24 hours for 4 days now.
Weird. Do you use a VPN or anything?

Weird. Do you use a VPN or anything?I do. Although it's been set to the same location for like six months. I suppose I could try turning it off, maybe they got more suspicious of VPNs in general. I just dislike, on my end, that feeling that everyone on the web needs to know my address, my email, and my shoe size.

This is incredibly small potatoes given the whole everything going on, but the continued unavailability of Sprite Zero (even in two litre bottles, now, was just cans before) this year is really starting to get on my nerves.

fistshakes! The truly sad part is I live less than an hour from the border, but there's no more just jumping into Canada to get good poutine or All Dressed chips. I need a contact in the underground who can provide me with my beloved All Dressed.

@too-old-for-this Same boat, but on the other side. About half an hour away from the border, missing little things like Chex Mix and orange Hostess Cupcakes. Also the ability to order little gadgets and things that don't ship to Canada to my post office box.

They sell them here, too, they're just hard to find. I swear they purposely put out one bag at a time to taunt me. They do the same with the Ketchup chips. I can find them, but its a hunt every time.

Denmark shuts down completely from Dec 25. I don't disagree with the decision as such, but bloody hell, so mad at the people who made it necessary.
I've been in bed/on sofa for 14 months. Finally getting into treatment, finally looking at a diagnosis. And now all non-emergency hospital procedures are shut down until further notice.
Guess I'll just take a couple of months more.

I see them all the time, but what Walmart carries is super regional. It even varies city to city. Like, I can find certain things in my walmart for for other stuff I have to go to the next town over.

So, my roommates want to move out, and I want to stay, and let my bestie (who has been through hell with Covid) move in. She recently got a job in my city, which is remote for now, but eventually will likely go back to face to face.
So she and I filled out applications, and I thought it was just a formality. Our rent would be a little less than a quarter of combined income, I've been here working on 2 years, always pay my rent on time, blah blah blah.
Nope. Because we /each/ separately don't make 4x the rent a month, we're not allowed to do the roommate shuffle. My credit is leaps and bounds better than when I moved in here, and I make decent money for around here. My bestie had her car totaled a week before shutdown, and then with Covid lost both of her jobs. She had to claim bankruptcy, and even WITH that, her credit score is still ... well, it's better than anyone who currently lives in our apartment.
We didn't have these same checkmarks 19 months ago, when we originally got the place. "Oh, we have new management." - I would think that would have at least warranted a message in the email newsletter they send out, but no.
But if I were to move out and leave them, apparently they don't have to do the same process. I call BS.

Except in the Netflix version it's an entirely different song and I have no idea what the fuck that is supposed to even be.AIUI, this is usually (like 99%) because the rights contract in production that let them use the song when it aired didn't include rights for digital streaming, often because digital streaming wasn't a thing when the contract was signed.
