Um...What?

They are but only because it makes it easier to stack them right now. Once I can get the space to set up some shelves I might display them out of their box. I haven't fully made up my mind one way or another, just yet.

I know, right? A Pops collector who doesn't care about the boxes!? I'm shook, too!

I'm more upset they are on your desk in boxes.
I feel Funkos are better out of them. It sort of wigs me out when I see people's rooms with stacks upon stacks of boxes. Like....how...how is that....
I like my handful of Funkos tucked into various spots on my bookshelves.
It'd be weird if it was just a random stack of boxes.
-
Oh yeah. I getcha, there. I think I will eventually decide to take them out. Right now the boxes help conserve space on my itty bitty desk, though. My monitor takes up too much room!

Reviving this thread because...
can anyone explain 'artisan keycaps' to me and why?
Seriously:
What's the point?
Doesn't it makes those keys effectively useless?
I don't care how 'cool' it looks, how do you comfortably use those things?
Someone please help me understand the phenomenon.

They want to jam their fingers/break their nails?

The autobot ones are all right, but I mostly shared that photo for the GIANT GROOT one at the top over what I assume is the escape key. I use escape often enough that having to try to navigate that thing would be aggravating to all hell!
And I've seen photos before where people have these things like, dead center in their keyboards. JUST WHY.
-
Well, computers these days aren't big enough to do this anymore:
So, have to mod something, keyboard is the last component big enough to try and do something with?

You clearly haven't seen the monstrosities some of the more... eccentric hobbyists are putting out.
Though my favourite is this one:
-
@Tinuviel My goal is to have enough extra money to waste on a monstrosity like those...
Or maybe one of those built right into the desk itself, and give it a glass top...
-
I think the case on the right is the one I own, just with some shit added on to it.
-
It's not just old people! My high school boys and their friends are into it too. Finally the giant ass pile of old computer crap that I have been nagging about for 10+ is disappearing as they salvage!

Building things is fun. Full stop.

@Thenomain I CONCUR WITH YOU SIR. SEMI-STOP

Eventually, I'm just going to hang all my desktop parts on the wall next to my desk, with all my cords strung out very cleanly. It'll look great. Make it look artistic as fuck.

I hope you don't have cats.

@Auspice They're not the jumping sorts. Both of them are lazy fucks. One is old and doesn't give a shit. And the other is fat.

It's like what would happen if somebody had asked Jack Kirby to design a gaming PC. Right down to the weirdly elaborate bends on the piping.
