Good or New Movies Review

@Jaded His portrayal was uncanny and he got his accent spot on. It was crazy at the end when they did the side by side takes along with actual scenes from the movie; my husband and I were howling.

This is probably a good way to look at it, but I will go back to WB's impatience as the real problem here.

Justice League could have been broken into three movies. (See it; you'll understand why.) It probably should have been. There was just so much in it that I thought they could have explored, and I wanted them to. If they had just done what Disney/Marvel did, we could have had a really, really good series.

@sockmonkey I bought myself and my buddy a Star Wars Fan package for opening night. Which was great! Except I purchased it before realizing my new job trains the same day, so getting there will be a matter of avoiding speeding tickets.

In other words. I cannot wait either. I think it will be good.

As long as it sells merchandise, that is all that matters to these companies anymore. The story/movie itself can suck. This can be seen in the abrupt and massive shift that happened to Saturday Morning cartoons.

However. The Last Jedi did not suck. At least for me. I can only explain it as, I have not been so emotionally and physically excited to be watching a Star Wars film since I was a kid, and Empire came out, and I got to see it at our Drive-In Theater, same for Jedi. Just... I'm so glad I bought the package for my buddy and I.

I hated the Porgs. Just, like... they could have been left out and the movie would have lost nothing. I also hated that they used comedy at inopportune times to break tension. It just killed the flow of some things for me.

No real spoilers here but just to be safe used the tag, the move just let me feeling "meh". Parts felt like a slap in the face. I loved The Force Awakens and left the theater energized with my mind filled with possibilities...I left this movie going "WTF did I just watch?" Very little character development, too many throw away characters, too many characters just thrown away, the entire middle of the movie could have been gutted and you'd not miss a beat, pointless celebrity cameos, ugh...There were some good and great scenes but overall I was just left feeling...meh...

The Force Awakens felt like a Mary Sue Fanon Extravaganza.

The Last Jedi was a good movie.

You've invented hyperdrive, but haven't invented autopilot? Come on. You know how to fly a ship in space, but don't know that in space with zero drag if you can outrun someone even a little, you can outrun them foreverz and eventually escape?
