@Auspice WHAT
This is one of the ones I have (photo not mine, but a good example from Twinkled-T's site):
)(To achieve the above: paint nail in base color (silvery-white here). Lay vinyl over nail. Paint rainbow pattern onto a cosmetic sponge. Dab onto nail. Remove vinyl. Voila!)

Tis the season
and I know y'all want a unicorn shower head.
-
@Auspice I would LOVE that weird ass thing.. but my roommate would likely stab himself on the horn.
-
I have never seen anything so beautiful in my entire life. Thank you.
A family member just advised me, "don't die" because I laughed so hard.

@Auspice I mean I would.
However, I also owned a rainbow shower that changed the water by LED so I literally showered in a rainbow, and you know, light therapy.
Now I have a waterfall shower with adjustable settings. I'll stick with that one.

So! Every year I go to the local geek lady's Christmas party and we do a book! and a sock! exchange. I'm usually p stellar at finding good socks, but I'm mulling over book ideas for this year.
Leave suggestions below! I've got a ton of ideas, but I'd love to hear some from y'all (plus, who knows: it might expand your shopping lists for the geek gals in YOUR life).
-
@Auspice I'm more interested in the socks. What socks did you get? Also I want to go to this. Will they send me the socks and books I mean... >.>

I haven't picked out the socks yet. Last year I got these for the exchange.
Dunno what I'll bring this year! Maybe some cute slipper socks? Hmmmm.
And sorry you gotta be present for the presents!
-
@Auspice I am with @RightMeow I would be all in for the socks.
-
Figure out the socks and then try to get a book in theme to them?
-
I am getting $1500 to spend on my classroom, and $1000 needs to be on big-ticket items that can last more than one year.
I CAN'T DECIDE WHAT TO GET.

Not everyone participates in the sock exchange and not everyone participates in the book exchange. Some people only do one or the other (I DON'T KNOW WHY).
And it's all white elephant style so I dunno that it'd make a lot of sense.

@silverfox Get a bigass well made globe of the Earth. Maybe it will help to stop some future flat earth bollocks. Plus, globes are fun.
-
FYI -- Cashmere sweaters are currently $39.99 at Macy's.

Few know I have a thing for shoes. The sneaker life is very very real. I didnt buy a couple pairs yesterday because I got my yearly bonus. Nope. Not me.
The tower isn't even my entire collection. Just the ones currently being displayed, worn in cycles.
Someone help me.
-
@Testament Upvote for how nice and organized that is.
-
@Roz Thank you. Theres only part insanity in cleaning your shoes once a month in what could be equated to ritualistic and displayed on a tower that I refused to buy from Walmart.
Though I do wish it was a bit wider. It's hard when you wear size 13 and you buy chunky things like these amazing React 270s.
-
@Testament Oh, god. You're like me and Rothy's colors. SO MANY COLORS.
-
Last spring during my stint working security, I worked with some sneakerheads.
One guy was so bad that he would, every couple weeks, buy a new outfit for a night out.......and a pair of shoes to match.
He admitted he had roughly 60 pairs of shoes.I will say I have a pair of Reeboks in the same colors, roughly, as those Nikes near the top. Except mine are predominately black with the blues and pinks as highlights.
