I went ahead and statted the PC I spoke to you about before. I used the DC Datafiles listed on the wiki for the game. Wish me luck! XD I'm excited.

Just popping in to say, as a player, that the game is growing well; 25 characters either in C-Gen or already approved. Heavy on the DC side. LOTS of top name/popular characters still available: Batman, Nightwing, Robin(s), Green Lantern(s), Aquaman, Flash, Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Deadpool, Black-Widow, Spider-Man, Daredevil, and just about every X-Man & Titan.

Yeah, we've had a good first couple of days. I'm very excited.

Sadly a major storm is likely going to limit my access this weekend but I'm hoping to start plots up next week. Exciting stuff!

I wanted to stop in and say that H&V has been pretty active with regular RP and has had a couple +event scenes with some longer-term plots soon to come up. There's plenty of 'big name' characters still available, too!

Off the top of my head (from both Marvel & DC sides):

Rogue
Black Panther
Wonder Woman
Spiderman
Poison Ivy
The Flash
and that's just to name a few. In the case of the Flash, we're talking ANY iteration. re: Spiderman, a couple lady-Spiders have been nabbed, I do believe. Gwen def. has. But, c'mon, where's the speedster love?!

Also, @ZombieGenesis has been fine-tuning some great code and a big part of my posting this is to give the man kudos for it.

Hey, thanks! The past few days have been rough as I've been hit by a semi-truck named the flu(worst flu I can remember ever having) but the game itself is going great I think!

In addition to having a number of great characters available we are working on getting some teams going! Steve Rogers has been working hard on prepping for an Avengers team, I'm hoping for a villain team soon, and hopefully, we'll have a ton of stuff going on in Gotham for an unofficial Gotham Knights type team.

All in all the game is doing better than I ever could have hoped. Thanks to everyone who has helped make this happen!

I do suggest at least checking in if you haven't in a week (if you didn't go into CG) or two (if you did). There are activity checks.

PCs who never went into CG get recycled and freed up after a week. PCs who did start CG get freed up after two weeks of not logging in. It's to prevent people from sitting on popular bits when they can get actively played. (This doesn't apply if you finished CG. It's just for people who are languishing without ever getting approved.)

Now! If you know you'll get RL'd, Staff will give allowances if you let them know ahead of time. But yeah, if you showed up, grabbed a char, then disappeared (within the windows above)? They prob got freed up.

I know these three tend to be p. popular, so hey!
We also still have no Flash?! (Or GL but I mean srsly, no Flash? Gosh.) But overall, the game is steadily picking up, people are starting to run events, so it's a good time to step in.

Last year, I decided to broaden my RP horizons and play different place with different systems other than WOD.

I like what I see as I scan the wiki but I need to know ONE THING.

Can I play Matt Murdock? I wanna be Daredevil, damn it. Can that happen? Please?

Daredevil is totally appable. I don't think he's taken(I'm not on the actual MUX at the moment) but you can log on and hit +roster to see who is there and taken.

Yeah, that was my stumbling block. I like having books in front of me, and the system was unfamiliar to me.

For anyone struggling with the system, a few things of note:

I have a copy of the core book I can share.

The system honestly makes CG a bit... easier, IMO, once you get used to it. The problem sometimes with the trait-based is how difficult it can be to write things out, how much writing you have to do, and how you can come out the other side and see oh, well, X got approved with this and I got approved with that, but comparatively... It's tricky balancing Marvel and DC (and the other publishers), but ZG is super awesome about balance.

And lastly, ZG made a post about how if you want help with your char (and there's no data file to pull from out there / in the books), he'll gladly put together your sheet with/for you.
