I'm not going to lie, but I'm in love with the women's division at AEW.

That Nyla Rose v. Riho v. Yuka Sakazaki match was baller.

“It is better to live doing the things that you like. It is foolish to live within this dream of a world seeing unpleasantness and doing only things that you do not like.” -- Yamamoto Tsunetomo.

@Ganymede AEW is fucking rad. I hope they can further steal good talent from WWE/Impact.

My AEW women's division future wish list includes Kairi Sane, Ivelisse, Toni Storm, Ruby Riott, and Rosemary. Its great as it is; Nyla Rose is a fucking badass, but if AEW can expand the women's roster like WWE did they'll bury WWE for sure.

i'm just REALLY hoping that they bring mercedes martinez in for real-real, because they are kind of lacking in veterans who aren't halfway out the door due to hollywood/being super banged up. they're also a little soft on credible heels without that same caveat, though that won't be a big deal in the short term if nyla wins (i really, really hope nyla wins).

my wish list is, like, mercedes, nicole savoy, and big swole from the battle royale; any of rosemary, tessa blanchard, and jordynne grace from impact; rescuing io shirai/kairi sane/asuka/shayna baszler/piper niven from wwe.

Is it just me or does AEW not air any of their women's division stuff on TNT?

@Ghost The women's division in AEW is really lacking, imo. Not in the talent department but in the booking and story development. There really hasn't been any time dedicated to vignettes, interviews or promos by anyone who isn't Brandi Rhodes and whatever this haircutting thing is with Kong. There isn't enough to know about the characters or the motivations with most of them.

Britt Baker, she's a dentist? Okay. Hikaru Shida? She's a good Japanese wrestler? I guess. Emi Sakura is Freddy Mercury? Eh? Shanna? I have no idea. Bea Priestly and Jamie Hayter both show a good amount of charisma but they're also jumping back to Stardom for weeks at a time.

Riho, their women's champion hasn't even been on AEW TV since Full Gear. That's almost a whole month without the champion of the division showing up or being featured in any sort of angle. It's not great. I hope they start dedicating more time to developing things character-side, 'cause one 10-15 minute match a week isn't doing much.

@Dreampipe I have TNT on PlaystationVue, and AEW is in my DVR list. There hasn't been a SINGLE women's division episode that I've seen yet. I think this is a bad idea.

Okay, AEW is "FUBU Wrestling". That's great. However, they should have realized that women are coming to the forefront of WWE and if you're gonna have a women's division and want to take WWE on on this front? You gotta develop it.

As much as I like the spirit and soul of AEW, I think the following statements are true so far:

                  • It wins the support award. Clearly
                  • WWE, Impact, and Lucha Underground(RIP) have better developed women's division, and have better story development.

I worry that it's telling that John Morrison and Shotzi Blackheart aren't AEW-bound at a time where AEW is trying to solidify itself.

Delete the Hog Pit. It'll be fun.

WWE has confirmed WrestleMania will no longer take place in Tampa Bay this year due to the coronavirus outbreak and will instead emanate from the Performance Center in Orlando.

                    The statement from WWE reads:

“In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.”

There's probably an amazing marketing opportunity that WWE could take by having Wrestlemania be from the Performance Center, but probably won't because of course they won't.

Also I need to catch up with AEW, I'm a few months behind due to all my writing shit.
