@thhppbbbt No no, but that's because I was talking to her and they were right there in eyesight.
But she told me how her friend gave her the shirt in a gift bag, and when they got up to leave... she left it there. Someone saw her leave it and ran after them.
Also.. I fouuuuuund the shirt. I must have it.

So, uh
How much money have y'all lost because you didn't return things to stores on time when they didn't fit/work/whatever?
-
@rinel Thousands, easily. I have, right now, a $40 sports bra in the backseat of my car that never quite made it to the Amazon return location. >.>
-
Yeah, it's one of my worst issues
-
@rinel Ahh, the ADHD Tax. I gave a pack of tank tops to the neighbor kid because i clicked 'purchase again' and for some reason it defaulted to small, and the whole PROCESS OF RETURNING AN ITEM was just a 'nope' for my brain.
Or the food that went bad in my fridge because something changed slightly and my mood was off so nope wasted food. PHLEBLILLIONS if lost/broken/destroyed by fidgeting headphones or now missing earbuds.
Like just imagine, if i could have all the absolutely WASTED resources that flow through my hands....
-
@wretched The number of times I have bought something to replace a thing that I later found... I have an entire drawer dedicated to cables and plugs that were meant to replace a thing that wasn't actually gone. The money I have spent on buying a digital version of something that I have on dvd. Or even just having to have a digital copy of something on multiple platforms (Epic & Steam & Uplay+ are making a KILLING off of me) because my brain says I need to have it on both. Buying more socks that I don't actually need and then never return. OH. The money I have spent on LOUNGEPANTS that are never worn....

@wretched Mine goes more like...
Body: You know you've been up for like 18 hours now... that sleep thing should happen.
Brain: Ooooooooo, you know what we haven't seen in foreeeeeeeever? ARACHNAPHOBIA! PUT IT ON RIGHT NOW
Body: But.. sleep...
Brain: OH LOOK ITS YOUNG JULIAN SANDS! AND YOUNG JEFF DANIELS! AND YOUNG JOHN GOODMAN!!
Body: siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh ...welp... sure, lets make this the fourth 20 hour day in a row.

@too-old-for-this hey you know that new show that's out tomorrow technically drops at midnight... keep staying up. Watch everything, remember nothing!
-
@wretched Duuuuuuuuuuuude, this happens SO MUCH. I binged LOKI in like 2 days and had to go back and re-watch stuff because people were talking about things I couldn't remember seeing.
-
Returning an item is the fucking worst.
Does anyone need a home blood pressure machine? I'm just kidding, I've been trying to get my shit together to ship stuff to a friend for literal weeks at this point and it still hasn't happened, so I am sure as heckie not trying to send my accidentally doubled blood pressure machine to somebody else.
-
@saosmash Goodwill LOVES me for this exact reason. I bring them stuff with tags still on it, still in boxes, still packaged. Just shrugging because of course I lost the receipt and the item is more than 30 days old because I can never remember to just take it back when I go again and yes I would love a receipt for this donation that I will inevitably lose within 5 minutes of getting home because I put it down SOMEWHERE because there was a smell in the apartment so I changed cat litter and took out the garbage and wiped down everything that might possibly be smelly only to realize two hours later someone across the hall is cooking something Godawful smelling and its affecting my sinuses, so I took some allergy meds just in case that would help and I sat down to handle some messenger and then my son came home from school so we talked about his day and popped some popcorn because he thought it would be fun for us to pile onto the floor and watch Ghostbusters... yeah. By the time the receipt even enters my mind again, I can't even remember actually putting it down anywhere, let alone where. XD
-
@too-old-for-this OH SHIT Goodwill is such a good idea for this extra blood pressure machine. I bet someone who could really use one might find it there.
-
@saosmash Goodwill gets all my stuff, whether its old stuff I no longer need or the plethora of new things that I forget to return. XD
-
@too-old-for-this I do a lot of clothes donations this way but for some reason the 'goodwill this medical equipment i accidentally purchased by hitting buy twice' just did not occur to me at all, so TY.

@saosmash Welcome!
