I got my Witcher watch-through done and I think that my only small gripe that has stuck with me was the modern colloquialisms that kept pulling me out of immersion.

Such as use of the phrase "off the grid." It was not the only one...there was quite a few of them but it just felt off every time it was done.

Before I saw it, I had read a comment here about the time jumps so I went into it knowing that was happening. I'm glad I did as it would have been confusing otherwise.

Letterkenny Season 8 makes up for the mediocrity of Season 7. Especially if you're Canadian and regularly watch TSN for hockey highlights.

(It's pretty much filled with Shoresy trashtalk.)

@Ganymede I liked Season 7 a lot, but it was the weakest of the seasons. Crack an Ag just didn't do it for me the way they clearly wanted it to.

Dracula 2020 has one of the craziest Van Hellsings I've seen yet. Looking forward to seeing the remaining 2 episodes.

What is obvious to you may not be obvious to me and vice versa.

I also appreciated that they went back to some of the opening "Hanging out with your..." format.

I thought the witcher was a missed opportunity. There's a really good show in there somewhere, but it doesn't really come out the way it aught to. Also some (much) of the dialogue was atrocious writing. Could've used some more post-production as well.

That said, I did watch all of it, and I still enjoyed it for all its numerous flaws. I'm looking forward to what they can do with a second season.

Edit: I just started watching Mr Robot's season 4 atm. Plot-wise, I don't know. But its still damn thrilling, whatever it is I'm watching.

So I've been watching Schitt's Creek at the recommendation of a friend and omg. thank you Levys for a good depiction of bi characters.

I would've started watching the Witcher sooner if someone had told me how hilariously corny it was. Y'all buried the lede.

@Auspice I mean it is the witcher. The corny charm is part of the games too.

Dracula (the new TV series on Netflix) was amazing.

But it was only amazing if you watch the first two episodes then ignore the huge cliffhanger at the end and stop right there.

The third episode was a self-indulgent piece of shit of epic proportions. The two which preceded it were full of tension, great performances and - despite a few very obvious plot holes put there just to make the plot work - really worth a watch. Sister Agatha was a kickass character.

If you like Dr. Who then you'll also want to check it out as this is written by Moffat/Gatiss and... well, it shows. A lot.

That really bums me out. I just finished the second episode and now I'm not sure if I even want to watch the 3rd ep. I was iffy on the first ep(many parts came off more like a parody to me than a reimagining) but the second episode was really good, IMO. Bah.

I will echo Arkandel that you'll enjoy the mini series much more if you leave the third episode be and just imagine your own conclusion to the story.
