@tragedyjones "Make Daxam great again!"

Double post, but I finally caught up and finished season 2 of Supergirl. And it was (hurr) super. I also love that both Supergirl and Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D. are entirely blatant in shitting on Donald Trump and other American fascists.
They both used "Nevertheless, she presisted".

So, am I the only one thinking that last episode of American Gods was a fucking cigarette commercial?
-
-
@Coin It seemed like every scene with zombie girl was fixated on her lighting up another cigarette. It reminded me of mushers who pose all about their smoking but never contribute to a scene.

I saw it as pretty symbolic. I am not going to go into details because spoilers for people who haven't read the book, though.

@SG If you think about it, why not? What's gonna happen, lung cancer?
-
@Arkandel I think it's mostly a pet peeve of mine that I rarely encounter smokers anymore, but to watch television, they're everywhere. It weirded me out in BSG as well. You're on a space ship ffs!

I know tons of smokers. I used to smoke, and at least half the people I relate to on the daily are smokers. So I guess it's really subjective and dependent on a lot of outside factors.

Dragon Ball Super compared to Dragon Ball Z is like joining a ten year old MUSH where everyone's stopped giving a fuck and now anything goes.
Keep in mind that DBZ was an anime with a pink indestructible magic construct created by an alien wizard that turned people into chocolate.
Super is its sequel that gives even less fucks than that.

@HelloProject
HAHAHAHA KALE IS BEST BROLY. -
Sorry if someone already said it, I've been skimming posts. But Handmaid's Tale on Hulu is my current favorite...it's super and intense and just as disturbing as reading the book was which seems hard to achieve. Also the soundtrack is impeccable, the timing of certain songs is magic.
Orange Is The New Black releases this Friday I think so I know my plans for Saturday.

So I came across this trailer recently ....
So anyone who knows me knows I am an Agatha Christie nut and in particular a fan of Hercule Poirot. Now I have my favourite version of "Murder on the Orient Express" and that is David Suchet's. He really brought the pathos and faith crisis of Poirot on to the screen like no one else. This looks like an amazing cast, and while I'm a fan of Brannagh, I'm not sure how he'll do as the "Belgium detective". Here's hoping. If you've never seen, by the way, David Suchet's version of this story, it is Season 12, Episode 3 of his series.
The whole series is an absolute masterpiece of TV and that episode as well as the last season (season 13) is some of the finest TV ever made.

Live episode of Futurama; tonight at 8PM PST

So I've started watching The Strain and am pleasantly surprised by how good it is.
While I've always found Kevin Durand oddly attractive, I have to say, darken his hair and give him a Russian accent? Suddenly he's smokin' hot.

See, I watch The Strain because it's so bad. XD

@Coin I bet you like Dutch.
I don't like Dutch!

Actually, I find Dutch to be hella fucking annoying. I mean, she's attractive, but not really personable.
I like Fett, as a character, but that's almost entirely it. There are other characters that become a little more interesting but in general I hate all the characters in The Strain, they're all fucking insufferable.

I finally got to the episodes in Buffy with Malcolm Reynolds. I can see what the hoopla was all about.
