Good TV

@SG it's possible, or maybe it's just slightly cheaper...not sure, they just do really good sci-fi up there. And they know how to end them when they should.
Speaking of Canadian sci-fi, Continuum came back for its final six episodes. I'm hoping it has a dark ending...it seems like it's going to. I'm hoping it doesn't have a happy ending where Kira gets back to her own timeline.

Lost Girl is ending this season, too. Here's hoping they go out with a bang.

It looks like it could go either way. It's difficult to talk about without spoiling it for people who aren't caught up.

Oh god, lost girl is my guilty pleasure and what I imagine every WoD is like. I can't say I'm happy with the wanderer storyline, but I have to finish it.
@SG I think you're right it could go either way. It's just what I'm hoping for....
Yeah, I don't want to spoil it so far either. -

Dark Matter makes me think a TV producer looked at Firefly, then tried to rip off everything they thought was appealing about it, and make a mish-mash hoping for similar success. FFS, they have a Jayne and a River-Kaylee hybrid. Even the episodes seem to have similar themes.
That's not necessarily such a bad thing, I just can't unsee it.
Also, the setting is that typical mesh-metal-corridor, ominous and dark, like in the lamest big budget SF movies. I dislike that the most.
I did like the episode with the android.
Edit: As for good TV lately, I gotta recommend Mr Robot and Deutschland 83.

@Coin You linked it with the timestamp, so it almost immediately went to the end of the video.

That's more or less the gimmick the show is named for, so...no, not really. But the metaplot is cool enough and puts the "monster of the week" segments in enough of a context to make it bearable and even awesome sometimes.
EDIT: Actually just to be extra clear, I stopped watching by the end of the 3rd season (out of four), so change my answer to "not really...maybe???"
Uh... Fringe has 5 seasons.

JUST KIDDING SEASON FOUR IS PRETTY COOL YOU GUYS

I won't lie to you and say it is a good show. But the final season of Hemlock Grove is now available on Netflix.

Hemlock Grove has one of the better 'watch a dude turn into a werewolf and out again' images I've seen in quite some time.

And apparently they have one within 90 seconds of the first episode of season 3, so there's that!

Yeah so far one episode down and this show continues to barrel down the wtf track in the best way.
