Anybody watching American Gods on Starz? Its super weird, but in a good way. I'm enjoying the ride so far.
-
@ThugHeaven I loved the book. I didn't love episode 1, but #2-3 won me over big time.

I digging it hardcore, yeah.

I have never loved a show so much as American Gods.
-
@Arkandel I'm tempted to read the book after episode 4, but I've already read that they made some changes between the show and the book.

They have made a LOT of changes.
However.
None of the changes are thematic. The core essence of the story, in my opinion (as someone who has read the novel at least five times in the past twelve years) is completely intact and respected. The visuals are stunning, too. I am amazed.
That said, at this rate, it's going to take them like 3 seasons at bare minimum to tell the main story from the novel, which is fine; I just dread episode 8 because it means I'll have to wait like a year for the next installment.
-
@Coin It's only 8 episodes this season? Bummer.

Read the book.
Read it.

Also read The Sandman, dammit. Do it before you do anything else. It starts a bit slow but it grows to be awesome and then it gets another level in awesomeness, and then another.

The 100 season 4 finale.

Twin Peaks: The Return. It's like going to your 25th annual class reunion and meeting that incredibly bizarre person that you haven't thought about since graduation and finding out that they are as strange as ever, but in a good, happy and healthy kind of way (and I realize most of us probably -are- that incredibly bizarre person for a lot of our classmates).

Netflix has cancelled Sense8.
I haven't been this bummed since Firefly.
-
-
@HelloProject How so?
-
-
Since I have a posted playlist, I guess it's redundant.

I've heard about it from a few quarters today. I'm bummed as well. I'm sure Sense8 was expensive as hell, but it was utterly unique and I'm sad to see it go.
-
I didn't like Sense8. It felt too 'progressive' for me. Like it was trying too hard to be what it was.

That's why I didn't like I Huckabee's.
