Is it just me theorycrafting or should the Night King not even bother much with fighting the North at the moment? He has a flying mount, so what's keeping him from travelling all over Westeros at the sites of all these battles and every graveyard he can find to resurrect everyone who's ever died, creating a bunch of fresh armies to wage total war across the entire continent?

Several of those ballistae using dragonglass-tipped missiles, probably.

I mean that is like the first modification I'd make once I knew about the dragon wight.

@Wizz Where would you put them? He doesn't need to go for the cities, just visit graveyards and such. Can you imagine how many somewhat fresh corpses there still are after the War of Five Kings? ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, like we saw in the battle between Danaerys and the Lannister forces, the ballista was mounted on a wagon, meaning they could be mobile. It might be a bit of a desperation move, but with stakes that high it'd probably make sense to send forces with ballistae to the biggest battlegrounds, or keep a few patrolling to catch him between points A and B, at least forcing him to stay on the move. All the Night King might gain is a few isolated pockets of undead at a time without White Walkers to guide them or raise more, and it would only take one dragonglass missile scoring a hit anywhere to snuff out the dragon. Seems like the risk he would be taking vs. just staying with his massive ever-growing horde and the other Walkers would be pretty extreme.

ETA: I mean the dragon is enormous and he could probably take other Walkers with him and drop them off at key points and then each Walker could potentially grow their pockets of undead until eventually they all merge back up and Westeros is proper fucked, but then you've only got one target in each swarm that you need to eliminate given that we've seen the wights collapse after the Walker that animated them is destroyed.

It's not a terrible idea at all @Arkandel and I think if the scenario were to "really" play out rather than be written to be as dramatic and entertaining as possible it'd be something the Night King would be foolish not to consider, but IMHO swarm tactics just seem to make more sense for the undead than guerilla warfare given their weaknesses.

              ATTENTION

I was mistaken when I said last week's Blood Drive was the season finale. That's NEXT WEEK.

I repeat THERE IS STILL MORE BLOOD DRIVE TO COME.

                Speaking of Dick pics...

It appears that Dick Grayson has been cast for the upcoming Titans tv show, to be played by Brenton Thwaites.

I know the reviews so far aren't great, but I honestly enjoyed Inhumans (decided to give the IMAX showing of the first two episodes a go 'cause I needed to get out of the house this week). Ken Leung as Karnak is amazing and Anson Mount's facial expressions are absolutely stellar.

Everyone harps on Medusa's hair, but frankly, we have survived worse special effects in the past, and we will survive worse special effects in the future, and the consistent and constant focus on this has made it so that I don't even CARE.

They could fucking draw it on with crayon and I would be like "Medusa's hair looks perfect". With a straight face.

I mean fuck, talk about tunnel vision.

Pretty much this. Plus, we all know how fucking hard it is to animate hair to begin with, so FUCKING DEAL PEOPLE.

Medusa herself is pretty damn bad-ass. I was hoping to see more of Crystal's abilities, peeeersonally. ๐Ÿ˜‰

ETA: I mean, Pixar/Disney, the best SFX houses on the planet, have only just pulled off animating hair (see: Moana) in a way that got true praise. So cut ABC a break.

@Auspice The best powersets for TV are ones like Black Bolt or the Flash... extremely easy for SFX to recreate without a lot of money.

That's conversely why vampire shows (fang prosthetics + red contacts) are so much more popular than werewolves (a shit-ton of more FX).

I really dig how they approached Karnak and his probability stuff. Honestly, show-wise, just from those two episodes, he is my favorite. I mean, I love Ken Leung to begin with, but Karnak is great.

I want a show focused exclusively on Lockjaw being Lockjaw and doing Lockjaw things.

It could be like 24; just have a 24 episode season of 1 hour shows, each detailing an hour of his life.

Yes, I would watch him sleep for an hour.

I want Cersei to win too, kind of. In the books she was totally my favorite character. On the show not so much, but she's still pretty badass. Also more bad.

PLUS both Martin and David and David have such huge blind spots when it comes to writing or presenting women, its nice to see they can at least make one be a slick politician as well as a victim of sexual assault.

GoT - no spoilers, just a bit of trivia I read last night!

Apparently Bronn and Cersei's actors contractually can't share a scene, since their actors went through a bad breakup iRL years earlier and they wrote that into their contracts that they can't share the screen.

Seeing your hated ex every day you go to work for years must be awkward!

That just makes me want details. How bad can a breakup be that you can't work with the guy for any amount of time even years later?

Man me too, that is amazing, where is the tell-all book? Is he the baby daddy or is Pedro Pascal? SO MANY QUESTIONS...that are none of my business but still.

I need to hunt down the Pushing Daisies comics. It wouldn't be the same as the dulcet narration or surreal filming style, but it was a good show that was killed by the writer's strike and uncreative executives.
