Tho I'm playing Octopath right now lest I get burnout on Animal Crossing. I'll pick it back up in a day or two for sure. I just realized if I kept binging on it, I'd hit a wall of never wanting to touch it again.

What is animal crossing?
It's a text-based puzzle game where you try to figure out why animals other than chickens were on one side of the road but are now on the other. The answers are randomized each playthrough, so it's not as easy to cheat as you might think.

But that's not a mummy.

@GreenFlashlight ...yet.

Does the store get to be 24/7 like in other AC games? Because I keep forgetting to play (/sell stuff) before it closes and I don't wanna lose out on profits by dropping shit in the box.
-
I don't think so. Which sucks.

Auuuuuugh. That blows. I usually play as I settle in for bed, which is like, 2AM.
-
@Auspice I don't see a problem in shifting your switch's time of day to make it more playable for you.

I read somewhere that doing that can screw up holiday events tho? Like they won't push out to you correctly

If you time jump, though, your store will not upgrade to the largest store (which is only one up from Nook's Cranny'). I couldn't figure out why my store has stayed the same, even though I've been on more than 30 days since it upgraded, spent over 200,000 bells and had Label a bunch of times. Then someone mentioned that. You need to play 30 days straight without time jumping.

It looks like you also need '30 each of fish / bugs / fossils donated to museum (seemingly)' (per one site I'm looking at).
I guess it's possible there's an upgrade to Nook's Cranny that makes it 24/7 and we just haven't discovered it yet. Agh. Guess I need to just maybe get in the habit of playing as I wake up (to at least sell stuff) until I've upgraded at least one more time.

Okay! So when I got this switch, I set my time back to when I started an island on another switch to catch up my progress. I've since caught up to real time. And my Nooks started the upgrading process today around 33 'days' played. So fiddling with your time won't mess up the process so long as you move forward consecutively, anyway.

Mine should be upgrading either this Friday or Saturday, I am hoping.
