Making sure to fully redo this before having to go to the DMV to replace a lost driver's license:

...go ahead, motherfuckers. Go ahead and just copy and paste 'brown' again.

(Fuck you, WB of the WoDiverse -- that shit took five hours. 😐 And, no, there's no retouching or color adjustment; it is that fucking bright.)

      Oh fucking well.

My dog is pretty much the best thing ever. All the time.

        But today....

Today, he has startled himself with his own farts. Not once, but twice. The first time, he jerked himself out of sleep and looked back at his butt, confused. The second time, he full on stood up and trotted several steps away from his dog bed before looking back to see what sort of horrible thing was clearly chasing after him while he laid vulnerable and unsuspecting.

And now I cannot stop laughing.

        Signed,
Aria, a very mature and responsible adult who does not have the sense of humor of a fifth grade boy.

@tinuviel ....Are all men scared by their own farts? Is that a thing? I thought it was amused by their own farts.

@aria Not necessarily scared, but the older of us occasionally wake themselves up with them. And we don't always know we've done them.

@aria Your dog clearly needs to meet my scaredy cat. They could confuse each other into endlessly entertaining panic. (She once sneezed so loud she startled herself into a backward scurry, bounced ass-first off the headboard, wondered what 'hit' her, and launched across the room to not be seen again for hours. It would not surprise me to discover that she had simply teleported herself into the future out of sheer baffled terror.)

                Oh fucking well.

@surreality She clearly teleported into the past in terror and, when meeting her past self, hit her causing the whole episode in the first place.

@surreality I suddenly miss my lovable, yet incredibly stupid, fighter-biter of an orange boy cat who passed away very unexpectedly last February.

He had this habit of scratching his chin with his back legs and then freaking out because clearly, some asshole was kicking him in the face. To which he would retaliate by bitin' them toes. And that was inevitably followed by him flying into a full-blown cat panic because some invisible attack monster was trying to eat his feet. Cue the cat running around the house in a panic, yowling all the way to a hiding spot.

Note: I said he had a habit of doing this. As in more than once. As in regularly. It's one of the reasons we were convinced that Something Wasn't Quite Right when it came to our poor Mishka.

@aria That is amazing. I don't know how they do it, but so help me, I think 'Something is Not Quite Right' is a feature of cats, rather than a bug. It's just a bit like a crackerjack prize.

                      Oh fucking well.

Even though this mutha fucka killed my other turtle dude, I still love him. I love the way he greets me in the morning by splashing water out of his tank until I feed him. I love watching him chase bubbles from the air stone. Little shit.

I recently discovered my company was billing the client I work under for... let's just say multiple days worth of coverage that was not provided. Math-wise it added up to a nice little chunk of money, at least for someone at my income level.

I brought it up with my supervisor and he threatened my job, essentially. So I took it to the client.

My supervisor is no longer employed. I really dodged the bullet. That could have gone really, really bad for me.

Tomorrow is free comic book day, and a lot of stores have special events like signings and sales, so this post has two purposes one to celebrate getting free and cheap stuff I love and to encourage everyone to go out and support your friendly local comic shops.

Seeing stuff actually finally growing in my garden and my neighbours garden. All that damn hard work and POP there's the cucumbers, lettuce, radishes, tomato plants, basil, everything. Everythings coming up green finally!

Now if the dandelions would just die and my grass seed take, and the deer stop eating my stupid apple tree it would be keen.

...that we are no longer driving through whatever the hell the sky was just doing. Day-bright lightning that looks like celestial doctors all signing a cosmic guestbook amidst intermittent hail is not happy fun road trip time.

@roz It was fucking nuts. Started somewhere in the mountains in Virginia, and followed us on and off into Maryland. Then it stuck with us and is occasionally rattling the house since we got home.

The brief pauses in the deluge with instances of 'God's talking to you visual effects' lightning in the distance was pretty dang cool, though. That's always neat, but it's so much nicer when it's in the rear window...

                                            Oh fucking well.
