It's scrawled across the front of your pod when you open your eyes. Done in neon bright yellow and outlined in orange. It should be cheery but there's something a little unnerving about it. Still it gives you something to focus on. Welcome to The Euphoria. The timeless darkness of before is shredded by those words. You hear them now, too. A bright, chipper-- mechanical ---voice comes through the coms in your pod, "Welcome to the United Planetary Ship Euphoria, Crewmember!"

You roll your eyes up toward the source of the voice, and try to turn your head but you can't move. You try to flex your fingers, and toes, but neither obey your commands. Your heart starts to race, your pulse starts to quicken. You can feel it thumbing away in your throat underneath your chin. But that chipper, mechanized voice comes from above again, "Oh, no, calm down Crewmember! You'll be released in just a moment! You will feel a warmth in three... two.... one!"

EuphoriaMUSH is an original setting sci-fi mush, one which you will be the recently thawed out crew of the United Planetary Ship The Euphoria. A giant colony ship on a mission to the Andromeda Galaxy, where a new planet which promises to be suitable for colonization has been discovered.

This is the story of that journey between the stars to a new planet. You will explore space and new planets, adventure through the stars, and play as space travelers! What will you do when you face difficulties and you are too far from the Milky Way to get help from Earth or it's allied planets? What will you do when the only resources you have are what you take with you?

We are open for alpha! From 7/15/20 people are welcome to log in and start checking out chargen, theme files, and ask any questions they have. They can start putting in apps and engage in "soft RP". On Friday 7/17/20, we will hold an Grand Opening event to launch the Euphoria's story!

We're going to start out off with a blast!

Game told me it needed to reboot, I shut down to reboot, and now everytime I try digital ocean locks me out of the server. Soo.... as soon as I get that fixed we'll be back.

It usually takes a few minutes for the reboot process to complete.

I have a roster that I would like to see played, but she is specifically app-required because there's some important things to know about her:

She descends from the first of the Espers (the psychic off shoot of humans).
She's the twin of an NPC.

So many theme pages have been updated over the last two weeks. I've fleshed out all of the Star Navy positions, added a bunch of civilian jobs, fleshed out some racial stuff, and started working on planets and flushing out the diplomatic jobs.

I'm currently trying to run 1-2 scenes a week. Each week in the middle of the week I try to run a "Monster of the Week" type of scene to give folks something to do and RP about having happened. Meanwhile on the weekends I run Metaplot/Large Plot scenes.

@EmmahSue is running a bunch of stuff civilian side. She's currently go a biweekly "civilians improve the quality of life of the ship" thing going on for anyone who likes that sort of thing.

We've got some Zero-Gee ball stuff about to happen. And some other fun stuff. But....

I'm looking at going back to work within a week or two, and I would like to make sure that this doesn't slow down the momentum of the game. So I'm thinking I would like to hire 1-2 extra storytellers to help NGC-6302 and I out with running things. This can be someone who likes to run Monster of the Week stuff (Midweek Madness, yo!), or someone interested in helping us with the metaplot.

I've started working on fleshing out a "Civil Services" group for the game. This will be civilians who are social workers, emergency medics, detectives (crime!), peacekeepers, and crisis responders. A lot like what people are trying to replace the RL police force with.

Peacekeepers are a lot like orderlies. They are trained to use non-lethal and as non-violent as possible force with people who need it.

Social workers are either those who check in on people or those who calm down tense situations.

Detective look into committed crimes.

Emergency medics are what it sounds like -- someone who responds to medical emergencies.

I've created three rosters for the team so far and plan to make two or three more tomorrow, and create them a wikipage with more information. The current rosters are:
