I once made a character on Shang to see as a bet if someone could get banned from the game. This was years ago. In fact, someone here once posted about that character years after the fact and I was like o.O and thought about confessing the bit as me.
This character was vile. He'd go around in public and was a nazi. He had a dog named Shitler. I did god awful things and didn't get a single warning to a few astonished surprised peers, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get banned.
In this process I was vile and people were forced to be around it in public and I feel bad years later. At the time I didn't see that for sure.
I did get someone from staff TSing with me though because they found it attractive. That's when I quit... guess you can't get a banhammer there.

So what's the worst thing you've done in your character history?
This isn't hobby related but I feel like kind of a monster because of it. I wanted a sweet delicious treat and decided to try the vanilla frosty from Wendy's instead of the normal, righteous frosty. People should pray for me for making such a decision.
As for the worst thing I've done in this hobby? Trusting someone I shouldn't have.

@rucket I got there ten minutes after breakfast ended and I got their frostaccino thing and no food. Absolutely sugar bombed myself, had NO potato wedges, and made myself queasy.

But also I think most people have probably made mistakes about who to trust. We are all humans.
I think the worst thing I ever did on a game was fall prey to the OOC echo chamber about the IC around someone who was a friend and ICly commit to betraying her character without warning. I ended up apologizing OOC for it a few months later, and we talked it out and all was ultimately forgiven (I think, I hope), but at the time I really upset someone who didn't deserve it and torched an IC relationship at the same time. At the time I was so wound up I literally made myself sick over it. I remember running to the bathroom to vomit mid scene but I was too dumb at the time to realize I was so anxious because what I subconsciously knew how uncool I was being. This was 2007 or so I think. 2006? Linear time is confusing.
Anyways. I've never set out to be awful on purpose, I don't have the troll impulse and don't really understand it.
Started playing in it instead of learning to play the guitar or something.
More seriously, a few months of bad decisions cheered on by being much too online and abusing prescription drugs, that I still feel looming over me, years later.

Trying to encourage someone to protect themselves, not blame themselves, and get out of a bad situation, but saying something that was easily taken to be "Did you say no?"
It is easier for me to accept that I've blundered and damaged a relationship I have. This was someone who really needed support, IMO.

Yeah, it's why I say that most everything in this hobby, you can come back from. If I can be reformed, I'm pretty sure most folks that aren't actively, intentionally malicious could be.

No, I actually don't. I don't even remember who the owner was any more. I do remember fairly shortly into the Denver stint is when I had my first round of PF blowups, but I don't know if that was or wasn't connected to you. I was in the midst of being a survivor during that time period, so a LOT a lot is completely gone from my brain. I stopped looking at logs a couple of years ago to quit torturing myself with memories that didn't serve me any purpose.
I blew up a building because I was OOCly bored that it was the primary IC hangout for most people. I specifically waited until it was empty of people, as I didn't want to kill any characters.
