I saw the original Batman movie in the theatre. You kids don’t understand how good Adam West was as Batman.
I mean, he was no Christian Bale.
But yeah, Animated Series pretty much saved after-school cartoons and almost single-handedly brought comics back into the collective consciousness. The X-Men movies pretty much solidified it.
Now if anyone wants to say anything but Christopher Reeves for Superman, we can take this outside.

...aaaaaaaaaaand back to 'universe is mocking me.' The other job was 'assistant communications manager' with a marketing firm. Totally different stuff from what I've been doing, but fits with my degree.
But they largely do event marketing. They require everyone on their staff have a vehicle.

I liked Batfleck, tbh. He was playing a Dark Knight sort and I think honestly they should have really had a scene in his family crypt with Dick Grayson's grave or something, to show it. But other than that, I thought his performance was fine. The tone of the movie was not good, and the writing was dumb.

Oh, people from work. No it is not my fault that I can't document processes I've never used and tell you what you're leaving out based on a complete lack of technical or business specs. Also, if you don't invite me to your project meetings, it's not my fault when your project misses things I would know. Also also, when I say "this is going to go wrong here are the people I need on call for 24 hours after the project goes live," not assigning those people for 24 hour access and letting them get pulled into projects and then complaining about how we're behind schedule does not put you on my happy side.
Yeah, we're off schedule.

Wednesday, the client was begging for people to do overtime through the weekend.
Thursday evening, they cancelled the rest of the hours for the day.Today, I get asked to come in early, meaning I have to pay for an Uber. Walk in the door: "...the client just cancelled all hours for today."
I got an hour on the clock to 'review materials' (my boss' way of helping make up for the fact that I paid for an Uber), but overall I'm down 10 hours. Making rent is gonna be tricky.
And here I thought moving projects would help reduce stress. Fuck me.

Oh, I haven't stopped looking. I made this shift as a short-term way to escape stress levels that had me in 'want to hide in a corner of my closet' mode.
I've been applying to a handful of jobs daily still. I'm just feeling like I'm unhireable at this point.

Not everyone has openings, and not all openings will contact you. These are things that can change. -

And they soooometimes go on sale on Amazon. Sadly at my size, CK has few and not in many colors (like, black and 'nude')... But it's one of the few decently comfortable bras I've had and I've seriously gotten compliments*.
*Not skeevy ones. Women who ask me what bra I'm wearing because my boobs look awesome and they want one. XD
ETA: Panache makes a great sports bra, too, if you're in need of that.

How is it that the only times I ever get fucked by a car are while using a designated bike lane? I just had to hobble my shattered ass like five-six blocks to the nearest bike shop to shell out for a new rim ‘cause mine ended up looking like a clock in a Salvador Dali painting ~just to get condescended to by some douche with a janky blond rat-tail and an Ah Real Monsters tattoo (okay, jealous of that) over the duct tape plugging up the hole in my tire which is… whatever. The rim might be bent to hell but that tube sure as hell didn’t pop. Deal with it, adult-Rugrat. Meanwhile, the fuckin’ button apparently was popped off of my pants the whole time (lol) and they are covered in bike grease. RIP cute butt pants (I will avenge you.) and you’re welcome to the many fine people of this city who saw my underwear today.

I'm trying to decide which is worse:
Underwire breaking during the middle of the workday (and thus no escape for hours) or wandering around a city with your underwear showing.
One is painful, the other is painfully embarrassing (at least for an anxiety-fool like me).
