Yeah. I don't need to rant or anything most the time...but when MSB was down I felt something was missing. I didn't realize how much I rely on it for news and such during the day.

Yeah, and people wonder why teachers are going into work sick. This is why, they can't afford to take days off even if they want to.

I just learned there are some districts where if a teacher uses more than their allocated days they have to "pay" for their own sub. Either the full daily sub rate, or at least half of it.

@flyrannosaurus I've had the 20th anniversary book on my shelf for a while, but just recently pulled it down to read since my son took an interest in playing it. I gave him the option of the old system or the new Savage Lands system and he chose classic.
I'm digging the system. I'm shocked the IP hasn't been picked up for a video game or movie. I know they tried to do an MMO once upon a time that fell through, but man this setting is ripe with lore and cool stuff.
My current TTRPG obsession is Deadlands and would love to see some sort of supernatural western-themed MU.
@macha I have to say, you are much more mature and level headed than I. I would have noped right out of that job without two weeks' notice as soon as I got confirmation of the new one...even if I had to live off of one pack of ramen every other day just to get through those two weeks.

There's a job starting on the 20th - Just have to wait for the background check to come back, and gods know there is nothing interesting in my background. The pay is better, and slightly more in my current field versus straight up CSR.I have a second interview this afternoon for another job, that I would likely like best - great pay, neat benefits beyond the norm, etc.
These are good choices to have to make, but.. choices and executive dysfunction
Let the interviewer know you have offers on the table, so if they like you they can expedite the process.

@arkandel So far I like it. I know it is drawing some inspiration from the Hawkeye 2012-2015 comic series, but since I didn't read that series I can't make too many comparisons.

Maybe it is because I was an impressionable 12-year-old when I saw the original and the cartoons were an afterthought to me (which I never really watched). I don't have your experience, and that is A-OK!
Just, for me, I can't make that leap in my head, the original (2 movies) and this one are so intertwined I can't see it as anything other than a sequel to the original.

@testament I get something similar every once in a while due to a bone spur somewhere in my neck that once in a great while ends up pinching a nerve to my arm. I'm sorry you have to deal with it more on the regular.
