Santa Barbara.
OK, so you are a little north and to the west. I'm down in Ontario/Riverside.

@auspice I feel your pain. I went full-blown diabetic, and pasta/potatoes are my downfalls. My wife makes the best (IMHO) mashed potatoes and I just can not help myself when she makes those.
And oh how do I miss my ramen... ;.; ;.;

@ominous That's about the same distance I am give or take. I wonder if you are in the south like me...?

I took a 13-hour drive just to get out of the house, drive up to the Sequoia National forest, drive-through and not get out of the car, then drive home...just so I could crack the windows and smell the fresh air and trees.

it's unplayable on PS4.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that. I've played all of act 1 and part of act 2, so it is obviously playable. Sure it has issues and can use a whole bunch of refinement, but to say it is totally unplayable is a bit of a fallacy.

I made him pour it down the drain as soon as he got home.
Seems a waste? I would have just re-gifted it to one of your non-Mormon friends or something.

RE: RL Sads
@Testament Having recently had to make the same decision with my best friend for 14 years, I feel your pain. I'm so sorry.

@Aria Do not, my friends, become addicted to water. It will take hold of you, and you will resent its absence!

Mind if I ask what kaiser is?
It's insurance on the West Coast,
It's more of an all-encompassing HMO to be fair. Doctors, Pharmacy, ETC all wrapped up into one package.

@Arkandel I find that wearing my glasses a little lower on the bridge of my nose so some airflow can get around the lenses seems to help.

RE: Good TV
@Ghost I'm amazed that some people seem to think they are just going to paint her green a-la Lou Ferrigno (or at least this is the impression I get from people). She is going to play Jennifer Walters, not She-Hulk. She will voice She-Hulk, and maybe provide Mocap for her CGI like Mark does for Hulk, but that is about it. Height will have nothing to do with it.
And if you are going by character height in cannon, well, Hugh Jackman was almost a foot taller than Logan is supposed to be, and he seemed to do just fine.

My only complaint is that it's getting to the point there's so much history that the metaplots themselves are hard to track down sometimes, especially since it's been a while since I last read the previous books.
I solve this by re-reading the entire series when I know a new book is coming out so it is fresh in my mind. Thankfully, since I just did this for Peace Talks I don't have to do it again for Battle Grounds
Lets just hope it isn't another six years before the next book drops.
At some point it becomes too cumbersome to re-read the entire series once the novels' count hits double digits.
Maybe I just enjoy the series too much, but I never find it a chore.

@Selira I'm with you, just a whole lot more south. We don't have the eerie red tinge, we just have hazy grey/orange that looks like it is dusk all day down here in So Cal.
