@Arkandel See, and I loved those rolls. Some of my favorite scenes came from one side or the other losing that roll and silly shit following. I had a character get TREED by a frenzying Gangrel in badger form. Still makes me laugh. But this is also why I tended to avoid Elysium as THE FIRST place a new character would show up. Because it provoked too many of the rolls all at once. I would generally meet people one or two at a time, and wait until I knew enough people that I could pop into Elysium and not immediately need to make a dozen rolls. And frankly... not using that mechanic felt like it was gypping the Gangrel out of their biggest weakness.

I used to fail those rolls ALL THE TIME, to the point it became an in joke in the sphere. 'Oh...there goes Kaleb fleeing from the Elysium again...'

I always found it hilarious.

I have been on the receiving end of this. While it was all perfectly on the up and up in terms of mechanics and also why I was targeted, it just sucks to log in and see a @mail that says "Rock fall, you die.". It doesn't really allow for any closure.

Character death is nothing new to me, and doesn't phase me much, but at least give me a death scene.

I'm trying to dip my feet back into the MU* pool. I haven't taken the full on plunge yet, but I do have one character on a Star Wars MU. I'm debating going back to a nWoD or CoD MU*, but so far haven't made a commitment to it. I keep hearing about Arx, but know next to nothing about it.

Obvious pitfall #1 is that people are going to be their own 'original' version of Batman/Superman/Spiderman...etc. But that is to be expected, because I defy someone to name a powerset/hero that HASN'T been done in some way before.

@Cupcake I could have been! I vaguely recall a Trish for about 5 minutes...lol. But this was a LONG time ago, so details are hazy.

@Miss-Demeanor Not particularly picky at the moment. Just getting my feet wet again, so pretty much anything is fair game.

@Miss-Demeanor Yeah! Good to be back among you crazy folks. After getting laid off I kind of dropped off the grid (for obvious reasons...had to focus on getting new employment).

Two years later, after having to sell the house, move in with my inlaws, find a job, get laid off from that job, find another job, buy a new house, move into new house and be at new job for a year I was sitting at my desk and went 'Hey. I should do that thing I did again.'

So here I am.

So far, only go the one new bit on Dawn of Defiance, and have only had half a scene since I started MUing again, but am thinking of expanding. So if anyone has recommendations...
