it took me a hot second to get that joke.
Sometimes I truly do hate you.
I'm having an acne breakout.
So stupid.
Someone should warn teenagers that they're still gonna deal with these the rest of their lives. No one told me.

Maybe do not suddenly ride up to the single woman at the drive thru on your bike and begin demanding she buy food for you.
I may or may not have opened my door into this kind of person repeatedly, and then left them there.
The downside to having a new(er? It's a 2017 that I keep looking nice) car is people assume I have money.
I mean. It's a Fiat 500. It's not like I drive a Lexus.
Tho I did love the time -- when I was between jobs -- that I was at the HEB on the 11th of the month. I was getting out of my car and this woman came up to me and began begging for money. I just looked at her and said: "Lady, I'm here to try to pay my rent."
She stopped, processed what day of the month it was and what that must mean for how my week was going, and replied: "I am so sorry" before walking away.
If you have an InstantPot this pulled pork recipe is super tasty.

@Auspice
This has happened more times than I'd like to admit. Although, the last time (which was a bit ago), I think I uttered the phrase: Mace your ass if you don't back up.
Austin has a homeless problem and I hate to sound callous, but 'problem' does factor into it. There are a lot of people who take advantage of the fact that Austin tries to help the homeless. So some people will bully you, get aggressive (I've had people try to refuse to let me get onto the sidewalk when crossing the street unless I give them money), etc.
You learn to tell the difference between 'this person is going through a difficult time and needs help' and 'this person has explicitly chosen this lifestyle.' My ex-husband, after we separated, chose to 'be homeless' to evade paying child support to the woman he'd been with before we were together and he came to Austin for a while (ask me what it was like to suddenly run into him one day at the library downtown!). He ended up trying to convince me I should let him live with me for a bit (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha- no) because there were so many homeless-by-choice people here that he had a hard time finding his 'niche' and ultimately (thank fuuuuuuuuuck) went back east.
WELL I'M SORRY MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET SOME MORE FREEDOM
here i uploaded another version to imgur just for you
I meant to say this last night, but I'll say it today:
having a player say that your game is their favorite because of how welcoming everyone is is just the biggest, fuzziest compliment ever because, I mean, it just is and it means you're fostering the exact kind of environment you want.
@Ifrit Oh, man, I feel this.
I had that 'productive stress' for a few weeks and then it became 'anxious stress' and now I feel like I'm letting everyone down at work. I should talk to my boss, but I'm terrified to do so.
ETA: I like productive stress! I do well with productive stress (see: getting salutatorian in school), but it can tip over into 'shut down and do nothing at all' if it gets to be too much. So I totally absolutely understand and sympathize.
Ok
Wow
Maybe do not suddenly ride up to the single woman at the drive thru on your bike and begin demanding she buy food for you.
I get that maybe (I can't tell because you startled the shit out of me and essentially cornered me even though yes I am in my car) you may be homeless but holy fuck that is not the way to do it and I am not the person to approach I mean the car in front of me had three people in it and the car behind me had four and you didn't ask either of them
You knew what you were doing and it was not good

Me too. I get you. It sucks hammered dog shit. Also, it. Isn't. Fucking. Fair.
You ever kinda sorta wish it was bipolar instead of just major depression like 'yeah that one super sucks too but man I could get some shit done in a manic episode'
Instead I just spend a lot of time unable to do anything at all and hoping I don't go into a suicidal streak
Every so often, things go out of whack and I know it'll just be a few weeks, maybe a couple months of homg depression and then I'll be OK again but until then everything is just hard. And I know it's the major depressive disorder. But I can't help but also look at life and go why. Goddamnit self why. You have a social life now you have your finances mostly in order you have a job you love why can't you get out of bed on a nice day why is your apartment a mess why can't you feed yourself
me af rn:
I know in a few weeks everything will rebalance itself and I know it's just a spike in everything and spending money on adjusting meds when it's just a brief spike isn't worth it but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu I hate it.

Geist is so in once it's out that I've thought about adapting it to 2e MYSELF, then decided I'd rather not make more work for myself than necessary. I may not wait for Theno and just force Melpomene to do Geist once it's out, even. Geist is so NOLA it physically hurts me to not have it.
That makes me so happy.
I only got to play Geist for a hot minute on Fallcoast before I just... couldn't play Fallcoast because Fallcoast and there's nowhere else.
I've had SO MANY CONCEPTS for Geist. It seems like every few months I have a new one.
@RDC said in NOLA: The Game That Care Forgot:
I also very badly want Changeling to be honest. Is the Theno-code done for it? Is there a non-backers-only PDF available?
I'm not quite sure where @Thenomain is on the code. I know it isn't done, but I believe he may be willing to take donations towards its completion (no I am not at all trying to help get him paid for his work... or I am probably definitely ;)).
Personally I am looking for places to play Mage.
I won't start fussing about Geist until it's out I guess but would you consider Geist once it's released?
@RDC said in NOLA: The Game That Care Forgot:
run by a wordy fucker.
hey, I get it. Back when I Staffed on Ennersea, one of my jobs was 'keep the HeadStaffer to her word when she'd claim to be 'putting something in a nutshell.'
Any plans to expand beyond just Vampire/Werewolf? (I saw that Beast is not being used anymore / at the moment.)
@RDC
...can I get a tl;dr for the tl;dr?

@Auspice My wife showed this to me last night. I told her she needed to learn how to crochet so she could make me one.
If she does, you owe that woman everything she asks for in return for at least a year.
As someone who crochets, I don't think I'd ever make this for someone. And I am a p. fast/proficient crochet.
The effort involved. woof
