So I hate the art style, a lot, but Undone looks like it might be really good.

RE: MU Things I Love
I wanna give a shout out to @Seraphim73 for how much I appreciate his going through the combat config we have on SGM and identifying where the break points are. Neither @Paradox nor myself have configured FS3 combat before, so we absolutely missed some things.
I'd probably tear my hair out trying to find everything I missed.
So thanks, man. It is so, so appreciated.
(And also
to the players who have put up with 2 of the 3 combat scenes so far breaking.)

Gotcha. Well, I'll see about reaching out to them. Thank you
Because I'm only here a few more months but god if I'm not dreading a repeat of this in October. -
RE: Getting Young Blood Into MU*'ing
This makes me feel better about having my PC on SGM in a player's PRP. I really enjoyed the scene, but the whole time I was a little antsy that someone would come along and be mad that a Staff PC was in a PRP.
...but I'm still not brave enough to run plots that let me put my own PC into scenarios I wanna play. I'll keep sitting here, fingers crossed, that someday someone runs one for me. >.>

The methods to pay in the lease are totally different because... different management (but one of the methods they got rid of allowed us to pay through a third party and that made things vastly better for schedule issues).
This is also an issue. You may have a fair housing issue. If you go to fair housing, make sure you bring all relevant documents. Here in Ohio, if a landlord fails to provide what is in the lease they are in breach of the same.
So the fact that they went from 'Payment via online portal or at <approved location>' to 'Payment via different online portal (that incurs a fee) or in the office' is a violation?
Because seriously: approved location was perfect. More flexible hours. No fees. I was on time every time except one month where my bank fucked something up. Now, well, nope unless the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd is on a Saturday or I wanna pay $30+ in fees.

New management shortened the 'due date' from the 5th to the 3rd.
What does your lease say?
New management can say whatever it wants to; the lease is the only document that matters. If you are in a month-to-month tenancy, the payment terms, in the absence of a written document to the contrary, defaults to the prior lease.
If you want to put a fork their eyes, let me know.
Just dug up the email: it looks like the 3rd is the letter of the law, as it were, and they just didn't bother enforcing it until this month. (I feel like the 5th was to allow for things like office closures on holidays and Sundays, which is reasonable, and makes it all the more ridiculous that they chose this month to stop the allowance).
I paid it online this morning.
And was pissed off about it because the charge went from $30 to $32.The methods to pay in the lease are totally different because... different management (but one of the methods they got rid of allowed us to pay through a third party and that made things vastly better for schedule issues).

Get it before you can't anymore.
Someday I'll go back and restart that game on my desktop.
I love it.
I want to play it.
But I started playing it on my Macbook and it is buggy as shit.
'Okay I played that chapter for the past few hours, time to go to the ne- oh, it crashed. oh, I lost all my progress. :(' -
RE: Getting Young Blood Into MU*'ing
a) 9 times out of 10, the YouTube embeds are on a tab on someone's profile page. You would have to purposefully click on the 'Music' (or whatever they named it) tab to see it.
b) Know how sometimes people will 'set the mood' in a scene set with a link to a song? Now it can be showcased at the top of a log. This may bother some (oh no a few inches to scroll!), but given the core design aesthetic that Faraday has been working to achieve, it looks so much better (and 'cooler') visually than just a raw link that takes you away from the log / opens a new tab.

I don't understand why places make it so hard to receive money.
So they can charge you more money.

@Auspice Holy motherfuck that is insane and not OK. Fingers crossed there's some legal recourse for this that will smack them upside the head something fierce, with a quickness, and free of charge.
I really hope so.
I had to threaten them with legal recourse earlier this year when I'd been waiting nearly 2 months for my AC to be fixed (that got them to fix it within a day, GO FIGURE).

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
Well.
I was in a fantastic mood.
But then I got home to an eviction notice. It'll be fine.
I have the money. But this fucking apartment makes it almost impossible to pay.
New management shortened the 'due date' from the 5th to the 3rd.
They're closed Sundays and holidays (which means yes, 2 days this week to pay).
You can ONLY pay via money order or a website that charges $30.Which means for people like me who work during their 'office hours' (they close 'at 6' but usually they've bailed by 5:30 and I get home right around 6), your only option is the website. ('Hey, fuck you for having a job, pay a fee!')
I've been trying to call this week to work out paying in the office, somehow ('hey, can you guarantee you'll be there until 6 or 6:05?') except no one has been answering the phones or returning my calls when I call during the day.
So yes, I am in an absolutely foul mood coming home to an eviction notice after being 1 day late when I've been trying to call.
I just keep telling myself it'll be fine. I can still pay and go on my way, but fuck if I'm not mad about it.

RE: RL things I love
How fun and supportive the ladies I'm doing this stitchalong with are is my favorite thing right now.
They encouraged me to go out this evening to plan our big group project for one of the challenges and we had about twelve of us there.
After spending nearly two years barely socializing with anyone (as in maybe once a month I'd go out....if that), it's been really rewarding.

It's cool! I'm just really brand new to this one and so I'm still trying to wrap my head around what is and is not familiar.
I don't mind learning the different stuff. My thing is more 'how much of a learning curve is customization going to be', which also isn't a big deal either way. Just trying to get a handle on expectations.
I think it's a very easy transition. Ares natively provides so much for you. If you know markup, divs, and css? You're good.
And you don't even specifically need the second two.
Fara also provided a link to markup on every input box.
EDIT: if anyone wants to click around an Ares web portal, I can provide a temp pass to my testing character. It exists purely for me to test cg shit.

No one denied anyone's experience: we shared ours. Please don't insert malicious intent where there isn't any.
Er? Maybe take your own advice about inserting malicious intent? I wasn't making an accusation, it's all good. I was agreeing with you. o.o
My apologies, then. It came across as a condemnation for what the rest of us had said in response to tek's post.
I apologize that I came across like that, then! I did not mean it that way.
I think I may have felt sensitive since my post to @tek was meant as a 'I promise this isn't just because you're newer to the community: I encounter it, too'

If wanting to make it clear the player was noticed without actually addressing them, I might include them with a simple X doesn't notice Y coming through the door, but keeps doing Z, but I never felt this was expected or dictated by convention on any of the games I've played.
I think it is a very small minority who expect to be acknowledged every round by every person.
...unfortunately, it is a very vocal minority. As I said, I've had people get angry at me for not acknowledging that thing they're doing over there away from my PC.

Pose length and what to put in my poses -- I didn't realize it was expected that I should not only write what my character does, but that everyone (or the majority of folks) in the scene with me generally expects to be acknowledged, usually by name.
I'll be frank: this one has always vexed me.
There is not always a reason for my character to acknowledge yours every single round, but I have absolutely had people throw fits at me for 'ignoring' them...
And honestly? I don't remember it always being that way.
Does it suck if no one acknowledges you? Sure. But I also, personally, don't give a shit if a couple people don't. So long as I have someone/thing to respond to (and that people I specifically address react), I'm good.
But if my PC says to Bob, 'Hey Bob, that's a nice hat you're wearing today,' I don't expect Ken, Sally, and Jenny to also all react to my compliment.

That does seem like an interesting topic. But it's 16 pages long and I'm kinda doing a thing right now.
I'm gonna leave the tab open. I'll read it in a bit.
I'll read all of my open tabs. They look interesting. I'll get to them all.
Likely the only reason I got through it was I needed a break from work. I usually study up on tech writing and related industry trends while my current chapter / organizational issue / etc percolates. So the article was perfect.
