Super minor peeve: the spellchecker on my computer seems to have forgotten the word 'their.' But only some of the time.

So every so often it flags it as a word it doesn't know. Why? I don't fucking know. But it is maddening to have a word get flagged as wrong WHEN IT IS NOT WRONG. 😐

I have absolutely no knowledge of FS3(yet) and I've only seen the show. Other than system requirements on my brain, pretty easy to get rolling?

Or is lack of book knowledge going to be a bit of a speed bump?

Was just talking about the posibility of an Altered Carbon MU or an Into the Bandlands MU so this sucker punched me in a neat way.

I'm slooooooowly reading the books and so far, people (Staff and other players alike) have been awesome about filling in needed knowledge. In fact, when I began asking about stuff from the books that I couldn't find online (most wikis out there just have show stuff!), @Seraphim73 actually went and populated some wiki pages with what I needed! (It was about planets that might work as point-of-origin for my character)

    • RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.

Overhearing my boss on the phone running an issue up the line that we (a couple of us on the team) have been working on for the past few days. We need clearance to open up a service contract with a company for a scanner/copier/printer.

"I've been working hard on this the past few days."

Not "My team has been working on this"

      "I've been working on this"

This is the same guy who brushes off every suggestion anyone makes until, a few weeks later, some modified altered (usually worse) version of it comes out that is entirely 'his.'

This is why whenever he asks me, anymore, if I have any suggestions/thoughts/ideas/feedback, I say no.

Just heard: "I'll go back in and get the model number off the printer. I thought I had it right here, but I don't." mf'er, you've not spoken to the user or touched the ticket once. 😐 You're only calling the client because you made sure the process required all communication with the client / level 3 filters through you! (Which has, btw, slowed down resolution on things massively.)

Fortunately, FS3 combat scenes can go pretty quick! Thank you, @faraday for a system that can manage combat so well so people can focus on posing and story. ❤

Ok but like, who wants to go all in on building a dragon breeding code with me for my game idea.

      Anyone?

One day, I will do it. Because a dragon breeding minigame sounds fun as shit. And by one day, you guys know what I mean.

Once upon a time, ages ago, I played on a game that had breeding of various creatures.

      Frogs were one.

DOES ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER THIS PLACE?!

I was weirdly attached to my frog.

Please come play on this game. I've been super excited about it.

I just, uh, need to finish my character. I've been dragging my heels for a while. >.>

I've helped a few people set up games. I've offered up my help to more. I've yet to see any of those games go live, and it's def not because the code isn't there. I've even recently given someone an entirely set up and functional game, but they want to go another direction. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, likewise. With my old Penn code suite and now even moreso with Ares, you can get a game set up and fully coded with standard systems in a few hours. Volund and Theno and skew and others have all helped set up games.

Now, sure, if you want some Arx-like economy/clue/etc. or Spirit Lake magic system, that's gonna take some custom code work. But that's a choice (a completely valid and understandable choice, but nevertheless a choice). You can get a game going without a coder.

My issue is never the code.

It's populating all the theme files. >.>

    • RE: Ideal Scene Length?

It can vary for me depending on the person, on the scene, etc. I'd say I'm in the 'couple hour' range, too, if I'm able to focus.

I knew someone who would try to drag me into making a scene last a few days. She would just keep tacking on "and then"s. She would never let the scene end. It's like she was afraid you'd go off and RP with someone else, as if you'd never come back and RP with her again. Each scene would just drag and drag and drag. I adored her, but it would just sort of make me cry. Every time we'd stop RPing, it was just a pause. And I'd have to be dragged into RPing with her again for a 'new' scene......because I knew it'd be days and days of RP and 'please I need to sleep now.' Honestly she trained me out of staying up half the night RPing faster than anything else.

I admit I kind of love The Masked Singer.

Partially because music and a lot because the costumes are just so wild. I did not expect the costumes to be just so wildly insane. I love them.

I think part of @Tinuviel's frustration may come from the fact that being Aussie, he's also set back by being in a wholly different timezone since the apps were closed in less than 24 hours. (I would be, were I in his shoes.)

Then again, I could be entirely wrong.

@thenomain I heard it was Disney's doing, as Disney is launching their own streaming service this year/next year, and they had to go this route for licensing purposes to be able to launch it with the new service. IDK if it's true or not, but those are the rumors I've heard.

They've already confirmed some of the shows will be on their streaming service, yes. (Luke Cage and Iron Fist, for example)

    • RE: A theme-less, CGen-less game

As others have said: what role does it fill that other social games do not?

If people want a place to just hop in and sandbox, social games exist for that.
When a game is down and there need be a place to go temporarily, ORG has always filled in handily.

I think that's the question that'd need to be answered first. What does this do that isn't already fulfilled elsewhere? Because we all know you're lazy, @Arkandel. You don't wanna do work you don't need to (I say this with love :P).

I'm still trying to get to Austin, but I have a giant dog and two cats, so I'm not a good fit.

It's a long ways off, but next November I'll prob roommate-shop myself (when my lease is up). I would not be opposed to finding a house to rent that can handle a handful of critters. 😄

Usually the start of January is a boost for us so we often get stuff (like my instant pot) then.

I see a lot of deals around the new year & February, too, so nothing wrong with that!

I'm waiting for my tax info to come in for work so I can get that done ASAP. I've got my fingers crossed for electronic sales in Feb. Some years they happen!
