This yin yoga sounds like just the thing for me. I may try to find some online stuff to follow along to.
...and hope my cats don't get in my way too much.

What did you order?
Nothing fancy. Some crackers for lunches and a pair of those compression socks someone had suggested I try for my walking. Like, nothing I imagine anyone would be all 'oh lemme steal that!'
It's so fucking stupid.
But I'm poor and $30 is kind of a big deal for me.
@auspice If it was a flex driver (most likely) then they will be knocked for it, if they get more than 5 missing packages then they will be fired.
It is exceedingly odd that you're not getting the item re-sent to you. Amazon is usually very good at just replacing items that are lost in shipping or delivered wrongly.
They've reshipped or refunded me (so I can re-order on my own) in the past.
This time they've flat-out refused.
I'm really not happy.
I've filed the police report and a BBB complaint.
I do not like being out $30.
$30 is nearly a week's groceries for me.

The Neil DeGrasse-Tyson accusation is heart-breaking on all counts.
So, my thing with that one is... If it's valid, why is it buried?
Is it because of race? Or because of who he is?
Because either one would make me angry because her voice would be just as valid as anyone else's.

Going to toss this out here, Valerian: City of a Thousand Worlds is a grossly underrated and yet enjoyable sci-fi flick. I like what they accomplished with it.
So I finally watched this recently and while it was fun...? it was way too rushed. I wasn't given enough time to get invested into the story or the characters...
I wish it'd been 2-3 movies or a miniseries on TV instead.
This is from my Twitter:
Thursday, I contacted Amazon. They told me 'We're investigating, we'll get back to you within 3 days.'
They didn't.
I contacted them last night.
They said they couldn't/wouldn't do anything. Wouldn't refund. Wouldn't reship. If I wanted, I could file a police report.
I have done so.
But seriously, fuck you, Amazon.
I cry in my sleep sometimes. And some nights, I guess, it's worse than others.
...on those nights, I am immensely grateful for my cat. She's there for me. And I don't mean in the sense of being able to wake up and cuddle her.
She wakes me up. She makes me wake up. She will lick my cheeks or nip at my ears or paw at my face until I wake up. She will purr as hard as she can. She will force me to wake up and cuddle with her until I calm down and return to a restful sleep. Then, and only then, will she go back to her usual spot at my feet.
She is an amazing, wonderful creature and I am so, so lucky to have her in my life.
I do this often with words. I'll get hung up on a word for a few days. I've seen authors do it for an entire book, which honestly can be kind of vexing (see Piers Anthony and the word occidental in Wielding a Red Sword).
I use semicolons in my writing a lot. It's probably the thing that -- if someone were trying to seek me out -- would most notably flag me. In point of fact, it's what made me sort of giddy to play with a friend on a game because he uses them fairly liberally too. It was a moment of 'ah-ha! Someone else with this writing quirk!'
Because it got me excited and I wanted to share:
A collection of Guillermo del Toro screenplays
Guys...
AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS IS IN HERE.
It's really hard for me to explain. Because it's not that it was a fight scene. I enjoy fight scenes. I love writing them, for example. They're full of energy and exciting. The adrenaline rush and... I mean, in Luke Cage, the Bring Da Ruckus scene? Fuck yes, love that scene.
It was this clip: https://youtu.be/HhPqY0mO5Qg
There's a point in it, I don't remember how far in.
I think... uhm... the man hits the ground, his face (nose, mouth) covered in blood.
I have reasons that affects me really badly. Specifically.
If that is a one off in the show, I'll be fine. I can (now having already had my moment with that clip) fast-forward by and go on my merry way.
But I... have no way of knowing if it is. So I've been... putting off watching.
I wanna watch Punisher.
I haven't yet.
I had someone send me a clip of their favorite fight scene and it triggered* my PTSD really bad, so I'm... hesitant so far. I'll probably have to sit on the pause button.
*I haven't had it triggered that bad since the end of The Departed.
@tez said in Reasons why you quit a game...:
Every game I have quit was due to staff acting in a way I found unethical.
This is almost always it.
...I have a lot of heartbreak tied to losing spaceships.
Of the DC shows... Flash and Arrow are disappointing this season, IMO. They're not bad, but they aren't really good, either? I mean, Arrow's OK, but I am not feeling Flash at all.
Supergirl, on the other hand, is knocking it out of the park. I usually feel really meh on 'girl power' stuff. Like, a lot of the time it feels like it's trying too hard and overly vilifies or puts men down to 'make a point,' but Supergirl has these female characters front and center who balance strength and emotion, while the male characters still get their stories and play their parts, the lesbian character's aren't tropey, one didn't die (LOOKING AT YOU BUFFY)...
Look, it's awesome.
But, uh...

@apu
Even in this thread, he lies about others, attempts to misdirect to others, tries to misrepresent other people... At no point does he well and truly take responsibility.
I appreciate this thread for one thing. I have been wanting the community to see his behavior for what it is for some time now, but it has not been my place because to do so (myself) would have required telling other peoples' stories, which I could not (would not) have done.

Creepy basically sums this guy up, IMO.

I also think it's in bad form to take a private conversation over MSB chat and copy/paste it here without permission from the other side when it's done in an attempt to seemingly save face
In this case, @tek did reference the conversation before he shared it. I do, however, see your point.
