There will definitely be more events.

Once I get my brain wrapped around 'pirates' and not 'scifi' (I can come up with like, a dozen scifi plots and one-offs... pirates and magic in the 17th century? That's harder for me) and my RL finishes chilling the fuck out from Hell Month, I'll be running, too.

I also plan to run some long-term plots once I come up with them, with scenes to highlights points in the plots.

And as the bbposts on game say: if you wanna see something in particular, let me know! (Missed out on the chupacabra fight but really wanna fight one? Drop me a line on game and I'll see if we can work out scheduling one you can make it to. :))

I have a fairly flexible schedule, but if people don't speak up, I will be scheduling things when my lazy ass wants to do them. But I really do want to make people happy. You just have to speak up and let me know what you want to see.

I haven't played the first Last of Us. I really want to.
But I feel you on the depression binge spending.
Except I know I'm depressed, so, uh.

That's part of why it's so hard to fight that purchase. I actually just got the credit card this week. It's the first time I've ever gotten one. So it's also this like, big deal: my credit's finally improved enough from all the stupid medical debt to have a real line of credit. I have a credit card. It's cool.

...I shouldn't let depression talk me into blowing most of the (sparse, mind) line of credit on a PS4 that I'll then kick myself for having to pay off over the next, like, year because I am poor af.

PS4 is on sale this weekend, 1TB version for $199 on Amazon.

It's $189 at Costco with an extra controller thrown in, but I'd have to put it on a credit card and it's just... not fiscally responsible. Much as it's tempting.

I had weekend plans fall through that I'd budgeted some money for, so I was able to flex some money around and I figured: 'This is the one game I keep coming back to and wishing I could play for the past six months. It's worth $8.'

@Miss-Demeanor That's great to hear. I've been debating trying DSC because it'd def. be cheaper. But I'm really afraid of like, downgrading? Because I do have the Venus handle thing blah blah. And that whole 'moisture bar' thing is like, necessary for me. My legs have all kinds of scars and shit on them from an active childhood. I need the extra help, too.

Are men's and women's razors actually different?

'Cause I seriously feel different between like, a 4-blade w/moisturizing strip shaving my legs and the cheaper 2-blade one from the same brand. Like, seriously, the latter one makes my legs cry and hate me.

I wholly agree with the 'lone wolf' ones. It's kind of like the super-ultra-shy types. You're only hurting yourself for RP and you're sort of going against the whole point of this 'cooperative storytelling' thing we're here for.

When I am approving/vetting apps, I also eyeball the following:

• Does/did ALL THE THINGS. Especially when the sheet doesn't support it. I've seen so many of these and it's often used to later evade rolls. 'Well your sheet doesn't-' 'But my background says!' Nope, I nip that in the bud during CG. It's an annoying bit of snowflakeness that's both a way of circumventing min-maxing on the face and mocking your fellow players. You don't need to be everything. Find a niche. Play with your fellow players. You do not need to be on every team.
• Was almost <insert leader/owner/important thing> but... I've seen too many times where someone does this in regards to roles filled by NPCs and then once they're out of CG, they approach Staff a week or two later and asks 'So, since my character was supposed to be this thing, but it's just an NPC right now, I might as well just take it over, right? They use it to get around actually doing the legwork through IC means.

I've got health insurance, but I'm just a medical mess and a half. None of my meds by itself is more than $15/mo, but the whole lot of 'em run me close to $100/mo. Last month money was tight because I had to miss a few days of work due to that epic flu that went around. Most months I can do it, last month was just rather hellish (my job has no PTO, so if I don't work because sick... I don't get paid).

I am re-adjusting to Wellbutrin after having been off of it for a month due to financial reasons.

Ike has been a very good nurse kitty today, sticking by me and watching over me to make sure I'm okay.
